Yes, I know, I have not exactly been too speedy in getting the previous website back up and going. I think I need to refocus.
Arm wrestling?
It is hard to extrapolate from a single point. We'll have to see what the rest of the season brings.
We have a new coach this year and I'm fairly optimistic ...... not that we'll make the playoffs or anything but that we'll at least win more than one game ....... *sigh*
I cannot vouch for how I would react if I came face to face with him. Grrrr.
Cattle Truck Accident Backs up Traffic
"One of the northbound lanes along Highway 41 in the Fox Valley is open again after a overturned semi spilled cattle on the road. Southbound lanes are still closed between Highways 47 and 15 near Appleton. About 30 cows were on the run after the truck overturned. A minivan driver struck at least one of the cows. No humans have been seriously injured."
This is about 25 miles from here.
"Cows on the run............Cows on the RUN".........
You're on! Consolation prize will be rights to Hillary.
And here is a fairly rare e-mail from William, with news on the campus front:
~~~
Guess who's coming to campus in October? the Right Honourable John Major. In February? The Right Silly Ben Stein. I can already feel the intellectual air of the campus clearing up in anticipation of their arrival.
Limbaugh talking about the trap the Daschlecrats have walked into....wanting to debate Iraq on the eve of the election...Now, they've got what they wanted and they're screaming Foul!
Also pointed out a possible new Dem phrase: "kitchen table issues".
A funnel cloud touches down Sunday in Manti.
The colonel on Fox this morning said that if Ritter had been in uniform, he should be shot! That guy doesn't mince words. Ha!
Just a quick post and run to wish everyone a safe, happy and good day!
Won't be here too much this week. We have a team of engineers in to help us re-tool some of the technical aspects of what we do in our courses and to help establish a more realistic training environemt. Lots to learn and lots to do...guess that's what they mean by job security!!!
But before I go: If there is going to be a contest to see who gets first crack at smakin' IRX42 upside the head, count me in!! That thing (I refuese to say "man" as it has done nothing to earn that title anymore than the title of "President" it once held...and has impunged the honor of both!) is the largest, walking, talking pile of excrement walking the planet today!
I don't know if I told you that our church lost its Rector in March - left us for greener $$ fields. We are in the midst of a search for a new rector and yesterday we had a Town Meeting with all of the parishioners, including the kids.
The pre-teens and teens had a long list of wants as far as characteristics in the new rector. Of course, the first one was Bowling, the second was Young, the third was Forgiving .... BUT, this was the one that really hit me and I wanted to share. These teens want a rector with a "Sweet Soul". Leave it to the kids!
Well, the moose has escaped this year (so far). I will try again next weekend. Perhaps the moose population will recover under the upcoming republican administration (good chance in November) Our current liberal governor appointed a fish and game board full of greenies and other liberal trash that has placed political goals over sound and scientific game management (gotta save those wolves etc.)
I am currently wrestling with a speech I have to give at the local 9-11 service here on Wednesday. Any ideas from the good folks here at ATRW would be appreciated!
