We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
On Thursday, al-Jazeera will broadcast an interview with two of The Evil One's top aides - men with a $25 million price tag on their heads from Washington. Among other things, the BBC report on the matter says, the broadcast will state Congress, not the White House, was the target of the fourth plane - the one downed in Pennsylvania by the heroic passenger revolt led by Todd Beamer.
President Bush will address the United Nations on Thursday regarding Iraq. PM Blair of Great Britain has said Iraq has one last chance to readmit weapons inspectors. The PM went on to say the UK will fight alongside the United States in an assualt on Iraq, even if no other Nation supports the venture.
Canada has announced they will not support a United States pre-emptive strike on Iraq as a coup de main.
Around the clock combat air patrols have resumed over New York City and Washington, DC. Meanwhile, US intelligence organizations have picked up increased "chatter" among known Al Qa'eda operatives.
Elsewhere, the mid-Atlantic states of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland should begin preparations for a visit by Tropical Storm Gustav.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

This was a theft case. One woman said she couldn't vote to convict because a lot of her relatives were under the same cloud!
Even the judge laughed.

Cows on the run............Cows on the RUN".........I always get amused when one of the cattle trucks looses it's load down town Dallas, it happens at least once a year. Snarls up traffic for hours in that area. The traffic broadcasts are always very creative and the newspaper shots the next are nothing less than comedic.
You'd think the would keep cattle prods and ropes in the back of the police cars.

LOL!
The only time I was ever called for jury duty it turned out that one of the parties in the case (I don't remember if it was the defendent or the plaintiff ...... it was civil court though) was a customer of the company I worked for ...... so I got booted ...... and only once ...... *grins*

:) You're up past your bedtime...(just kidding). I'm still at work, trying to get finished. We have a deadline tomorrow, and I'm not going to make it.

We had about 60 people in the jury pool. I would say over half needed to be neutered.
I almost cracked up when a man was asked if he could vote to convict. He said, "Hell yes, I'll vote to hang!"
He wasn't picked by the defense.

My father taught religion for 35 years for the LDS church. My mom has been called several times for jury duty, they'd always ask her what her husband did for a living, she'd tell them, and she was always disqualified. Don't want anyone too religious on a jury...

Also, the number of neighborhood bar-b-ques go up each time one of those trailers overturns.

Now you sound like a big dog.

Have you ever heard of them running out of jurors and sending out people to look for jurors??
I was working at the old grocery store we had in town and 2 sheriff's deputies walked in "looking for jurors".
Talk about beating a retreat to the backroom....I did that day...:-)

Hey Dog, turn on your local NJN channel! There is the rerun of the Andrea Botticelli concert at Liberty State Park and it has the World Trade Center Towers in the background in a beautiful golden sunset.

Thank you all for your POSITIVE VIBES!!! Anissa's car was found about 2 hours ago. The stereo is gone, there is a scratch on the door and the steering column is messed up but it is all repairable and her insurance will cover it! "It is a miracle that it was found and not already across the border in Mexico" said the LV cops. WELL! the LV cops just didn't know about the vibes FR can generate!
Thank you all!!! PS: Larry is just doing GREAT! Lily too!

Was there ever any doubt? *smile*

WOW! Stolen cars are rarely found ...... at least in fixable condition.
We had a friend whose daughter's car was stolen. It was found eventually ...... it had been torched ...... was totally destroyed ..... just a shell.

Thank you all for my birthday wishes back on another thread! I have been busy with school and hardly a moment to breathe! I love it and hate it! Freshmen I love and Seniors I detest! Maybe one day when I can get lesson plans down to a science I can post and lurk more!
On a side note, we went to New Hampshire over Labor Day weekend and stayed by Mt. Washington, and drove up it! Yikes! It was a bit scary! It was a pretty part of the state and we really enjoyed our trip. I am just about to make arrangements to go back this summer! Hiking, canoeing, and stuuf like that!
I hope everybody is well and no admittances into Freeper General!!!!
My lesson to use in all my classes on Wednesday is about what constitutes a hero. I have a really nice plan together with the classical elements of a hero and the kids will hopefully see that rock stars don't fall into that category!
Lastly, I am so glad Kelly won on "American Idol" ....well, I had to take a quick break from working at night!
