Gran, I see you are playing again this afternoon? ;-)
Stick Guy is cool and I love the wide-angle effect of your flowers, the sky and the trees are interesting.

Good afternoon everyone....what a grand day, here in the Pacific Northwest.....its nothing but sunny everywhere, blue skies, temps near 70, the mountains to the east and the west, are visible and beautiful, the fall mums are in full bloom, the roses are blooming again, and trees are beginning to turn all shades of gold, and red and orange, and the contrast against the everygreens will be spectacular come Columbus Day....
BigDom and I are pretty well over our nasty colds, just having some residual traces left...we have survived...
Got some wonderful emails from cousins in Chicago, telling me all about Uncle Harrys memorial service and funeral....Uncle Harrys sons each got up, and relayed stories about their dad....instead of the organist playing only sad religious songs, he played many of my Uncles favorite songs, including 'Take me out to the Ballgame'(Uncle Harry lived within walking distance of Wrigley field, home of the Chicago Cubs), and also a favorite played was the 'Navy Hymn' in honor of Uncle Harrys serving with the Navy during WW11....
They had a closed casket, but around the casket were pics of Uncle Harry in all stages of his life, surrounded by momentos, of those things in life that he loved...
When the funeral procession arrived at the cemetary, they were greeted by a Military honor guard...the honor guard was also there to do the traditional folding of the American Flag and present it to my Aunt in honor of Harrys service....many of the people there, had never seen this ceremony in person, and all said that it was just so impressive and so stirring to see this ceremony done, in strict military order and precision....
So, Uncle Harry sounds like he went out in style...he went out as he and his family wanted, not mourning terribly his passing, but rather celebrating his life...
I do wish I could have been there, but my relatives have all been so kind as to send me reports, and will be sending me pictures as well...
Be seeing you, Uncle Harry, when our family will once again, all be together...

Looks like you decided to check out the Guild's thread - StickGuy gets lotsa love there - the last time I checked, everyone was setting up for the MissAmerica meat market.
