AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Days 595 and 596 - Weekend Edition) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 7, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 09/07/2002 5:26:42 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Washington Pravda is reporting this morning that the President intends to tell the UN that, unless they take "quick, unequivocably strong action to disarm Iraq," the United States will have do the job by itself.

And a case of West Nile may have appeared in Los Angeles, which would be the first in the western United States.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

When I was stationed in Alaska...

Where?!

I was at Elmendorf, and Shemya, AFB... Aleutian Islands, from 1976 - 1977.

Yep... those Northern Lights are still a sight.

Where in Alaska, I was at the AFB out from Fairbanks. Man, I loved it up there, almost went back when discharged. Never forget me telling that oficer when we got off the plane in Fairbanks 'Sir, the United States Government made a bad mistake sending a MS boy like me up here' and it snowing like mad.

Good morning toots...we are both doing fine!! Just finished breakfast and going to enjoy a little bit of time doing just nothing....till I figure out what time I am leaving to go back home.

The job sorta kinda has gotten much better..my boss knows I am probablly a much needed asset right now, until the two empty positions get filled..so I am using that to my advantage...In a few months, I anticipate I'll have to make some decisions.

How is school going?

Thank you for the birthday greeting.

And we remember your anniversary, as we always do my parents' anniversary, even though Treva is no longer here on earth...because love never fails, love never dies.

May God bless you on this day, with memories and the sure knowledge that one day you will see her again.

Thank you for the birthday greetings! I just got done cleaning the carpets...LOL! Mr. Marple insists that I go shopping with him this afternoon, although whenever we do this I cannot find anything I wish to purchase. I told him if he wanted to give me a nice present, he could pay my booth rent this month! Ha!

The kids are bringing in dinner this evening, so that is when we will really celebrate.

I'm sure that we'll have the Eagles on T.V. over here after church. Hey, I was so pleased to read the other day that things are looking so good for you now, jobwise. Congratulations!

I believe that there were at least 3 or 4 different versions of where they were that day and what they were doing. Perhaps by now they have gotten together and chosen their favorite lie to stick to.

For those who have the Fox News Channel, Rudy Guiliani will be on in the next hour, with a fairly long interview.

I appreciated that post as well.
I have been meaning to get back to you about a post from a couple of weeks ago. I had asked you about the book Shogun! You remarked about the Eastern concept of "face". In Shogun "face" was definately a subject that was developed. I think that was the case even more in Tai-Pan and in Noble House. Based on what I have seen of some of your postings here I really believe that you would appreciate those two books.
I have not been able to post all that much because I can`t read fast enough to keep up with all the threads that I have been trying to follow.

I still remember when Andy Rooney was criticising President Bush for using the word "harbor"!

The book "Commies" says it all. Most of hollywood is the offspring of the 1950s gang of communists. James Wood is, thankfully, the offspring of an American soldier and a good Mom.

Happy Birthday, MM!!! (With /john away I can say that without the avalanche starting...;-))...

Somehow, it just tastes better in a chilled martini glass...but I don't mind it in a tumbler, either, esp. a Penn State tumbler on a 40' sailboat!!

Less than an hour from kick-off!

Our at-home tailgate party will consist of cheeseburgers (grilled, of course), Cheetos, fresh fruit with cream cheese/caramel dip, Stewart's Lime Soda ('cuz it's green), and a football-shaped chocolate cake with an American flag, a Packers helmet, and the words "The Best" on it (store bought, but looks yummy.)

I'm SO EXCITED!!!

Game traffic coming home from church wasn't bad at all........everybody was at the stadium already!!!:)

GO PACK!!!
