ES missing since 6-5-2002 and will have been missing for 3 months in a few hours, so I thought that this would be an approriate time to start a new thread.
A lot of people on this thread weren't that generous to Richard Ricci.
There surely had to have been more intelligent dialog between they Hatfield and the McCoys than you find between the posters on the FR ES thread.

Utah boasts low corrections numbers
WASHINGTON Maybe clean living is catching on in Utah. The percentage of Utahns behind bars, on probation or on parole is less than half the national average and fourth lowest in the nation.
New Justice Department figures say 3.1 of every 100 Americans were in the corrections system at the end of 2001, a new record. But in Utah, the rate was only 1.4 out of every 100, or less than half the national average.
Only three states had lower rates: New Hampshire (0.92 per 100); West Virginia (0.94) and Massachusetts (1.2).
The report said at the end of last year, Utah had (in rounded numbers) 21,700 in its correctional system 12,000 on probation or parole (not counting probationers in prison) and 9,600 in prison or jail.
Nationally, 6.59 million people were in the correctional system 4.63 million on probation or parole, and 1.96 million in prison or jail. Those numbers were new records.
The data have some other good, and bad, news for Utah. Utah was one of just 12 states that have fewer than 1 percent of their adult population on parole or probation. Utah had a rate of 0.891 percent of its adults on parole (supervised early release from prison) or probation (people not sent to prison but sentenced to a period of conditional supervision in the community).
Utah had the fifth lowest rate among the states of adults on probation, 0.67 per 100. However, it had the 17th highest rate of people on supervised parole from prison among the states, 0.23 per 100.
Utah had a 5.4 percent increase in the number of adults on probation, which was the eighth biggest increase by percentage among the states and much higher than the 2.8 percent average increase nationally.
Yeah, maybe clean living is catching on.
"We still have people we are looking at, some of them -- if not all of them -- are still centered around Ricci," Dinse said. "There are plenty of leads surrounding him that we are going through."
Thanks for the post Sherlock. You have always felt that it wasn't Ricci who entered the home. My feeling that is was Ricci was in large part based on my belief that MK picked his voice out of an audio lineup. This all lined up nicely with the family's statement on the 14th of August where they clearly state that they believe that Richard was involved. I felt that it was MK's voice ID that had cinched the deal. Ed's recent statement however does not support this view.
Is it possible that MK picked out the voice of one of Richard's associates in the audio lineup? This would be consistent with the situations mentioned above. How would they obtain a sample of this persons voice? Did he voluntarily give LE a sample? This is consistent with Richard and Angela allowing the police to search their home without a warrant. Angela correctly stated the other night that this was a mistake. I believe it is possible the conspirators decided early on that cooperating with LE would remove them from suspicion. If this is true then LE does in fact know who entered the house that night and they are building their case against him. I believe that they hope to find Elizabeths body and to have a rock solid case before any arrests are made. I also think that they want to arrest all of the conspirators at once. How are Bella and Varina going to react to seeing Angela hauled off in cuffs? So sad.
So for those of you who are Ricci lovers out there, you can throw a party. Sandude no longer thinks that Richard was the abductor. He was waiting in the Jeep outside but he probably didnt actually enter the house. Who knows, time will tell. And by the way Holmes, I dont think it was one of Richards usual crew. Remington was safely behind bars.
Salt Lake City Police Chief Rick Dinse said Thursday he remains confident that the case can be solved, despite the death Aug. 30 of Richard Ricci, investigators' top "potential" suspect.
"Certainly we're closer to solving this case than we were when it began. We've done a lot of work on this," Dinse said. "We think we are eventually going to solve this." Dinse added investigators are still sifting through many leads -- and other potential suspects.
"We still have people we are looking at, some of them -- if not all of them -- are still centered around Ricci," Dinse said. "There are plenty of leads surrounding him that we are going through."
Regardless of whether Elizabeth is still alive, "Our focus is to find her," said police spokesman Sgt. Fred Louis. "Our focus is to find out who's responsible for abducting her."
We've discovered through this case Utah has quite a revolving door prison system and a life sentence means about 9 months. Salt Lake doesn't have a large prison population because they're all living in a trailer park in Kearns.
Great post D-A. Good to have you aboard.
I'd love to see a picture of Angela's brother and all her male relatives.
Do you ever think outside the box?
I'm sure the authorities in Utah have good reason for what they do and it centers primarily on the fact they don't want to support all these scumbags. Can't blame 'em for that. But is it smart? I don't know.
Your psycopath friend said he was a homebody so sounded to me like he does is doping with the family.
If his name was Moulson and he was from Texas would you ask this question? He is a business man for goodness sakes. Just because he is a foreigner you act like he is some kind of mental midget.
I don't think it's smart. It's stupid. I'm sure the Smart family would agree.
Who's getting a free pass?
Or are you unwilling to explore the possibility it might have been someone other than a convicted felon? "A trusted member of the community, so to speak."
And Javier Sickler certainly has the same MO. IMO, not as likely as the bishop, however.
There ARE other avenues to investigate and I hope LE is doing that at the least.
