I am Mormon, and I don't see where I was apologizing for what Dixon did to that poor girl. And I have no idea, well, there is a background on these threads of people posting stuff about the LDS church and what happens within the church. I was trying a pre-emptive strike. I think landerwy said it best when she said that the members of the LDS church are not immune to the problems society faces today. If this guy is guilty, he will be excommunicated, and will never be allowed to hold a position/calling within the LDS church that has anything to do with children.
And I have no idea either why some people are so against organized religion. Some to think it is the font of all evil...

I was sorry FR addict felt that some who posted on this thread were sanctimonious. I am not nor will I apologize for a child abuser!

You know there is a reason Ricci's boss has always beat around the bush and never provided a timeline of when Ricci worked and when he didn't. Nor has Ricci or his attorney provided this information.

I thought I read somewhere that the SLPD had the timecards from Mitchell Nursery...can't remember where though.

Spore, unless I've missed it, there hasn't been any article (biography) about Richard Ricci since the case started.
Ricci's first adult conviction -- for second-degree burglary -- came at age 18 in 1972. He was sent to the Pine Canyon Boys Ranch in Tooele, but his probation was revoked eight months later and he was sent to prison for the first time. He was in and out of prison for the next decade, following repeated arrests on burglary-related charges and twice for absconding during home visits. In one burglary, Ricci used a screwdriver to break into a jukebox, change machine and a safe inside a Carbon County tavern and filled a trash can with $250 in coins, according to police. While a fugitive in 1983, he committed his most serious crimes -- robbing a fast-food restaurant and shooting a police officer, slightly wounding him, during the burglary of a Sugar House pharmacy. Charged with a handful of felonies, Ricci pleaded guilty to first-degree felony counts of attempted murder and aggravated robbery and was sentenced to prison for up to life. "I was a wreck 10 years ago," Ricci said during a 1993 parole hearing. "I was in self-destruct mode." He was paroled in 1995 but was back in prison a year later, after he admitted he had accepted food stolen from a Sevier County food bank. Ricci was given a July 2000 parole date, which was bumped back two months because he again used drugs in prison. He was paroled Sept. 12, 2000.

But Sherlock, that information doesn't show what Richard Ricci was really like, his interests and hobbies and stuff.

I really can't remember right now as it was about 15 years ago I lived in the area. I've also been gone from this forum awhile so who is Spencer Dixon and do you have an address?

About your thing from another board, about the woman in SLC suing the Bishop for allegedly molesting her daughter...
[Isn't it funny how the presumption of innocence, so jealously guarded for Richard Ricci, does not apply to all these "bishops" and "ex-bishops?"]
The story might be of interest in this case--is the woman suing named Lois Smart? Was this bishop ever over the Smart family? Had he ever met Elizabeth?
Whoever said "the mother filed suit against the church and was granted a trial"--what does that mean, "granted a trial?" It's not like people go into a courtroom and start picking a jury a week after they file a suit. Does it mean the bishop-defendant moved for summary judgment, but the motion was denied?
The Catholic church also covered things up, and many times persuaded police to do nothing. So which one of these entities has all the local police departments in their pockets--is it the Vatican, or is it the Mormons in Salt Lake City?

I'm sure they do and I'm sure the reason LE has not released that information is that it's incriminating.

From your posts:
Moul did not have any comment on that information. Moul didn't have any comment on whether Ricci was wearing a machete.
What the police told Morse may not have been the truth since they obviously wanted to shake him up.
None of these articles said that Moul said he saw Ricci wearing a machete.

Hate to disagree with you but I think this information tells exactly what he was like. His favorite hobby is burglarizing.
To: Utah Girl
Ricci's primary interest was heroin.
To: landerwy
Dixon is the maniac who raped and attempted to murder that girl isn't he? That area is quite a few miles from the 13th south 24th east address.

But Sherlock, that information doesn't show what Richard Ricci was really like, his interests and hobbies and stuff.I was interested in his place of birth, parents, siblings, schools, etc., Utah Girl. Moreover, I appreciate reading about his criminal record -- not as bad as I thought.

This proves you'll never get it.
To: Sherlock
I should have put a sarcasm alert on my message. :) I'm sorry he died from a brain hemmorhage, but either way, dead or alive, he was no longer a menace to society.

He wouldn't have been interested in anyone negative like you though, varina.
To: Sherlock
I'm sure they do and I'm sure the reason LE has not released that information is that it's incriminating.Incriminating to who?? Ricci? I doubt the info could harm him now.
To: varina davis
I do believe that information was in Ricci's obituary, which Angela Ricc read to us on national TV the other night on LKL.
