Elizabeth Smart thread, August 31-September 7, 2002
Posted on 08/31/2002 10:26:34 AM PDT by IamHD
My prayers go out to the Ricci family during this time. RR was sent up the river and used as a scape-goat. No evidence, whatsoever, linking him to the disappearance of Elizabeth.
May he rest in peace.

Let me give you a hint. Just bypass all the comments posted by varina, bella, and all the others that want to send their next paycheck to Angela Ricci. It makes the reading go much faster and improves you mentally by protecting your mind from being polluted by that kind of poison. I don't want my brain polluted by allowing those kinds of images to enter my thinking.

think about what you typed. Her statement contradicted the allegations and suppositions made about her husband -- things some of you take to be hard facts.

Not fair, sandude. I didn't mean to be insensitive and perhaps I could have used a better metaphor. IMO she has things about this case that she wants hidden. I'm not sure what level her involvement was, but I do think she knows secrets at the very least.

I found this about Nancy Pomeroy:
He died at 7:28 p.m. Friday at the University of Utah Hospital, less than 10 minutes after he was taken off a ventilator, University Hospital Spokeswoman Nancy Pomeroy, said.
I guess Ms. Pomeroy was doing an act of kindness by accompanying Angela to NY and to the Larry King Show. She came across as a sensible and compassionate woman. As she said "There are no winners here. Both families have a huge gaping hole in their hearts". (Paraphrased)

spokesperson is another word.

Can you name a high profile case where there wasn't "something really odd"? OJ, Ramsey, Van Damm, etc., etc. You're right there were a lot of things that didn't add up in each of those cases, probably that was true in every other high profile case. However, I didn't really follow each of those as much as I have this one. I don't think the Smarts or the Mormon church is involved, don't believe it is a conspiracy. I just meant that from what we know too much doesn't add up. And there are a lot of people that feel that way. Naturally I don't have all the answers any more than any one else posting. JMO

NEENAH -- Sorry! Thought I was replying to sandude -- must be getting tired. Her statement contradicted the allegations and suppositions made about her husband -- things some of you take to be hard facts.

Isn't it possible that Richard and Angela had a true conversion to Mormonism shortly after they married? That both were getting clean and sober? That they were making a true commitment to each other and their newly found faith in God? Starting over on the right path, to be good parents to Trevor?
Such conversions are always striking when they happen, and ridiculed by nonbelievers. Remember the story of Saul the Persecutor who became Paul the Apostle.

Anybody who buys into Angela's lame explanation of events on tonights larry king live better slap themselves in the face and get back into reality. She was believable on the surface but in substance it sure seemed to be a con. I'm sure that the detectives were wathcing her every move tonight. Always enjoy your posts MadisonA.

Why would this nice lady from the hospital, Nancy Pomeroy (probably a Mormon) take up for Angela if Angela is such a con artist?
To: varina davis
LOL...no problem, varina.

Thank you ! BINGO....think about what you typed. Thanks, I am always very careful about my comments here. If you think that Angela is a saint that is fine. I see someone that could be involved in this crime up to here squinty little eyes. Her best defense in this is to con the American people and perhaps the police. Notice, I said could be involved, let's see where the chips fall when the evidence eventually comes out. Im not so easily impressed. I might be wrong and will admit it if that day comes.

Sure, anything is possible.

Why would this nice lady from the hospital, Nancy Pomeroy (probably a Mormon) take up for Angela if Angela is such a con artist? Angela is very believable on the surface. She has also suffered a loss. It is also possible this woman is working on the book deal. Just joking. I haven't made up my mind completely about Angela, but I do think it is possible she was involved and so I'm somewhat skeptical of her answers tonight.

I am shocked and surprised that sandude, JG, and UG would so blatantly disrespect and slander a member of their own church. Apparently, those not born into Mormonism need not apply with this bunch.
As a wise man once said, "The first shall be last, and the last shall be first".

Agreed, if that was indeed Rick's friend then something else happend on the 8th, maybe nothing more than returning the Jeep to Moul's. It also would appear that our "cook" took care of the disposal alone.
Ricci had been digging on Jun 8 because he was all muddy. Maybe he decided he didn't have time because the cops would be coming back for an accounting of his time and he would be better off getting the Jeep turned in for the weekend so he would hopefully not have to explain the taking it out business. So he turned it in at 5:30 PM Saturday night and to left the burying job to his accomplice who the police had not interviewed and didn't seem to be after. I think he may have been nervously looking over his shoulder because of what they may have had in his friend's blue van.
