Elizabeth Smart thread, August 31-September 7, 2002
Posted on 08/31/2002 10:26:34 AM PDT by IamHD
My prayers go out to the Ricci family during this time. RR was sent up the river and used as a scape-goat. No evidence, whatsoever, linking him to the disappearance of Elizabeth.
May he rest in peace.

Ya gotta admit this "Pit" story is as funny as the "how to" article.
Gotta run out to the back 40, and start digging... that reciepe really sounds good...now if only I can find a nice ripe apple in the orchard!!

What pig will look like with apple in mouth..gross!!
By the way...did the people say if they had the block already laid, or was there just a hole dug? Was the "hole" according to specs ? Did the white baseball cap get dirty in the process of digging? (maybe logo in the composit were actually smudge marks from dirt on hands..ya never know!) Were the people invited to the Roast? These are all things that should be asked.

Angela is on Larry King tonight, 9 ET. Hopefully some detectives will be watching as well in case she slips up. It would be a miracle with LK doing the interview.

Ain't ya been to a pig roast? Mighty fine eating!
Actually, a neighbor had one a few years back, but I didn't study the size of the hole.

Roast pig is the best. My dad's cousin raises pigs, and did a pig roast for a family reunion several years ago. Yum. I can't remember how big the hole was though...

Yes, I have had the pleasure of going to several. It is mighty fine eating !! Wasn't that picture gross tho?
Very sad to see Mr. Smart doing another "highly suspicious" press release. I wonder if it is because Angela is on t.v. tonight?
To my eye....sad...so sad to see this.

I don't consider this press release suspicious. After Sherlock made a few logical conclusions last night in regards to the blue van and the description of the guy digging the pit, they should go down and take another look around. Just one more rock to turn over.
To: Utah Girl
I meant it was another "suspicious" thing Mr. Smart was bringing up.( his words )
He has to do what he has to do, I guess. It will either pay off or it won't.

REMINDER...

Angela Ricci, Tonight on Larry King
Tonight:
Angela Ricci's husband Richard was the top potential suspect in the kidnapping of 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart. Even after his untimely death, she continues to maintain his innocence. Tune in for an exclusive interview with the former handyman's widow.

LOL!

The first article said there would be a "viewing" of the body prior to service.(Ricci)
Why was cremation done before an autopsy report was given as to cause of death?
Why wasn't there a press conference on this? It is after all a highly publisized case. Very strange.

Ricci would not have been cremated without his next-of-kin's permission -- that would be Angela. So I imagine she will explain about the cremation/autopsy/funeral on LKL tonight.
Her permission would also be needed for an autopsy -- unless the authorities deem the death a suspicious one, I would think.

I never, ever read other boards...today I did. I was reading a Thread on FR, and it gave out Websleuths.com, so I went there.
Out of curosity, I typed in Elizabeth Smart..and now I am going to do somehting you may not like, but it is to MAKE A POINT...There are things on here, that show people are thinking this is a very strange case. And Ricci's death is stranger by far. If you go there, keep reading, there are very interesting questions about death in jail.
Check it out for yourself
