Survivor V: Thailand

Survivor V kicks off on Thursday September 19th, and since a lot of us Freepers had fun speculating on Marquesas, I thought it would be fun to start a thread on the upcoming series.
The bios are out, which you can check out here, and there's already been scandal associated with two of the castaways.
First there's Brian, an actor/used car salesman, who neglected to tell the show that he had a few "blue" movies in his past. They cast a porn star!
Then there's Tonya. Her story could have a lasting impact on the outcome of the show. Shortly before filming came to an end, Tonya's father back in Tennessee was tragically killed in a car accident. Reports are that she was immediately evacuated from the island.
If Tonya was one of the first 7 people ejected from the show, then her departure would have no impact on the outcome. However, if she made it past the merger and either onto the jury or in the final two, then that could mean one less vote in the final two, or something even stranger. Only time will tell.

Why would Clay think Brian was referring to Jake? I guess he could think it was a reference to what Jake said at the previous tribal council, but . . . .
Clay may be (apparently) lazy, but he's shown he's not stupid. If he doesn't figure it out, I'll be surprised. And if he doesn't, Clay will really be in for a shock next week!

Good episode tonight. But where is Cuz??? He's AWOL!
Maybe he's having computer problems again.
I knew right away Brian's wife wouldn't last long in the bug eating contest. An interesting twist, to have the loved ones doing the eating. I did think right away that Jake's wife would do well.
Brian sure has a tight aliance going, but with Jake gone now, it is going to get interesting. Unless they win immunity I do think either Clay or Jan will be gone.
If Brian is really smart he will not wqant to be up against Helen in the final 2. He'd rather be up against Clay or Ted I'm sure. See you all next week!

...funny how they all ended up voting for Jake....no votes for Clay.
To: mystery-ak
Not true. Jeff only showed 4 votes for Jake. He held back the 2 for Clay.

My son said he saw 5 for Jake and 1 for Jan at the final credits.
Is it just me, or is this absolutely the worst season ever?
To: Amore
5 votes for Jake and Jake voted for Jan......Helen voted for Jake even though she was scheming to vote for Clay.

Where is Cuz?
I wonder if he lives in one of those states hit by the storm and is without power. Hmm. Survivor irony?

How about a quick prediction tonight, Cuz?
I can't watch this show if I have to think for myself!

Am I the only one watching tonight? Only two episodes left!
To: All
Where is everyone....we need a distraction from the Lott issue.
To: mystery-ak
It might just be us tonight. Seeing them look at themselves in the mirror was hilarious!

Thanks, guys, for the correction. I never could count, and I haven't been watching the closing credits either.

I refreshed the screen a few times, but didn't see any new posts 'til I finally posted a message myself. How'd the anniversary go?

Our anniversary was great! We tried a new restaurant up the road and it was delicious - plus I had the luxury of not cooking ;-)
BTW - is it pouring by your house? We are really getting hit by this storm.
To: inflorida
No. More like a constant drizzle for the last 4 days.
Sure looks like Clay's done for, doesn't it?

Glad to see Ted pick Helen....are you getting the ice-storm.
To: mystery-ak
No icestorm but some strong thunderstorms. I'm in Orlando and it looks like most of the state is going to be covered in rainstorms through tomorrow.
To: Amore
I think you're right about Clay. I won't be very sad to see him go.
To: mystery-ak
Brian has a point. Ted should have been darn grateful to him for giving him the answer.

Who knows? It could be misdirection again. For instance, maybe Brian will decide to get rid of Ted as a threat.
