Survivor V kicks off on Thursday September 19th, and since a lot of us Freepers had fun speculating on Marquesas, I thought it would be fun to start a thread on the upcoming series.

The bios are out, which you can check out here, and there's already been scandal associated with two of the castaways.

First there's Brian, an actor/used car salesman, who neglected to tell the show that he had a few "blue" movies in his past. They cast a porn star!

Then there's Tonya. Her story could have a lasting impact on the outcome of the show. Shortly before filming came to an end, Tonya's father back in Tennessee was tragically killed in a car accident. Reports are that she was immediately evacuated from the island.

If Tonya was one of the first 7 people ejected from the show, then her departure would have no impact on the outcome. However, if she made it past the merger and either onto the jury or in the final two, then that could mean one less vote in the final two, or something even stranger. Only time will tell.

Tanya had to leave Thailand on day 34, rather than stay the entire 39 days, because her father was killed in a car accident. Now we know that she was not one of the final four.

On second thought, I'll wait til they show ALL THE VOTES before I open my big mouth (figuratively). Duh!!

Yeah, I tried to post in time to say, oh, yeah, Tanya, the sick one. I swear she would have been my vote. Things are so quiet thread-wise this evening, I haven't been paying much attention. I just don't like Helen. sue me!

I wasn't alll-the-way paying attention, but it looks like Ghandia was accusing Ted of Inappropriate Touching

I caught that too, she has her hand on his thigh, probably so he won't vote for her, then she yells he's getting sexual. Maybe it's her legal brain on no food, she can hit him with a harassment suit.
That team will be back in tribal council next week too.

I just don't like Helen. sue me!

We will have to disagree. Although I wouldn't say I like her exactly. She is a hard person. But if I were going into a dark alley I would pick her to watch my back over anyone else in that tribe.

I don't like Ghandia. She is weak and overly emotional. Looks like she is going to try to "ally" with Ted next week. Considering the fact that they are both married that is disgusting on the part of whomever starts it.

It looks as if Ghandia is going into self-preservation mode. Perhaps she is feeling the guilt from knowing she should have been out of there last week.

Helen is by default my favorite woman left on her tribe. I can't abide Ghandia, and poor Jan. Why in the world did she choose overalls for her main item of clothing?

I liked the overalls on Tom Buchanan, but they just don't match Jan's Pippi Longstocking hairdo.
