I Am Reinstating My Previously Witheld Monthly Payment To FR

Giving priority to what is most important, I have decided to swallow my pride. I had a dustup with a moderator. I lost. Though I think the moderators need a tuneup they ain't so bad really. I depend on them to keep this site from becomming a free for all whacko hate site. I used to push the abuse button quite frequently on my fave undesirables ... anti-semite, haters. I notice they're a bit thin around here lately.
It is most important that Free Republic live and thrive. It is less important that I get things my way around here. Though I do not agree completely with the proposition that it is Jim's site and he can do with it what he damn will pleases ... It's as much our site, collectively, as it is his now. Perhaps Jim does ride herd a bit too hard on this creation he gave birth to. Fact is I don't know. I simply don't have enough information.
But it is a given that FR is the best there is at what it does. If it's only my morning paper and a place to exercise my verbal skills ... it's worth supporting. Now is the time for all level headed thinking FReepers to come to the aid of our wounded friend ... Free Republic.

If you don't like it, make sure the door doesn't hit ya on the way out... Sweet irony...
Speaking of irony, isn't it a little odd that most of this thread is about begging someone who didn't let the door hit him to come back?

Hug? Glad that y'all got everything settled. Love ya! My best to Sheila. It was a pleasure meeting both her and Chris in Vegas.

Does that mean you would bump others off the floor, with particular glee, so you can romp where you want? A conclusion not supported by logic. As I stated in my post, I don't think anyone here (including me) "hates" third parties. I was just trying to convey one possible reason for your observation that most posters here don't hang on every word of a third party. And, isn't "logic" what you asked for to begin with?

Point is, BADJOE posted earlier that Jim will make it known on his own timetable. Making demands such as the ones above are a bit hypocritical, considering I believe your prior position is that it's Jim's private property, and should be run as he sees fit.

Speaking of irony, isn't it a little odd that most of this thread is about begging someone who didn't let the door hit him to come back? Well, I wouldn't beg anyone. Apparently a number of folks on this forum feel differently. Including its owner, who made a gracious post upthread.

The Dems can bring me 48-52 % of the vote too, but you won't catch me voting for them either. ;) Nicely played.
I should have made it more clear that I'll happily accept the vote of any Rat who wants to pull the lever for my candidate. But, the subsequent amount of influence they might ask for might or might not be granted to them.

No, I don't get my panties in a knot over how the site is moderated nor do I send in the troops to cheerlead for me when I get suspended. This is sickening.

Takes a big man to publicly admit he made a mistake, Jim, and ask for forgiveness.
You are a big man, and that is why we will prevail!
Eagles Up!

KC, those three paragraphs should be a thread by themselves. I wish that others would read it and take heed. We would save so much heartache and tears and so many headaches. If people could only sit down and talk out their differences and try to understand where others are coming from, maybe we could get about the business of the country.
To: Taxman
Yeah I think there is another person that should be mentioned in that. You know the one that was the real injured party?
To: Joe Hadenuf
Thank you.
I would imagine that after the heat of this past weekend those moderators that I was conerned with are taken back a little and would strive to do a better job.
The instructions to the moderators that Jim is going to post for all to see will gladen your hearts, and will allow you to hold their feet to the fire.
Plus the other moderators will be a calming influence. So I would hope we bury this particular issue and give all a fair chance.
It will not do FR or the Freepers individualy any good to beat a horse we know can't get back up.

This is sickening. Guess it depends on one's viewpoint. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
