I was going looking through some old threads

I can honestly say I have never once been to Lucianne.com since I have been online. Never felt so inclined. But I'm glad that y'all found FR.

i go back and read some our past threads from time to time as well. i have several of our threads bookmarked.

Shortly after Flash brought me [yeah, I know...that flies in the face of some mythical reason for my being here, but there is proof and not some heresay or imagined BS] over to meet his FReeople friends and settle in for 'easy access for him to find', I took the time to go back and read all the old threads.

Being a FReeper going back to Septemer '98, and heavily involved with establishing Operation America as an activist organization affiliated with Free Republic, and with following politics, I didn't pay much attention when y'all made the exodus. Eventually though, I kept seeing this 'Basecamp" stuff, so I clicked on see what it was all about.

There were sure a lot of posts and posters, but I couldn't make heads nor tails out of what was going on, so that was that--until this past February.

Reflecting back, there was a lot of people on those threads, some of which I've pinged to here that I have met out in the forum while others are just names I remember from reading the old stuff or their having been mentioned or pinged on FReeople threads. Anyways, sitting here and reflecting back on the great numbers of people that don't post at the FReeoples thread, the obvious questioning 'why' surfaces.

Did these seemingly fine people leave as a part of the process where they were spreading their wings (no pun intended, Wings ol' fella) and learning to fly or see the rest of the world....or were they driven out as was obviously attempted to be done to me? And was being attempted against Sweetliberty? Was the back-stabbing and back-biting being done by the southern Christian hypocrit towards me and some of the remnant gang, also done to the 'old gang'?

The silence was oh so deafening as many sat back and watched the latest go round without a murmur. Does everyone not think that if the southern Christian hypocrit was doing the backbiting and backstabbing to me and/or to others, that the damn knife wouldn't be headed your way soon.....do you honestly think cause you were a 'friend' that it wouldn't? Information I've gotten indicates that even Ringy had been stabbed at a couple of times.

Sure seems a shame that what was a huge group of friends dwindled in less than a year to maybe a dozen or so.....and somehow it just can't be discussed in public so as to prevent any such goings on from happening in the future.

'OMG', I can just visualize some of y'all saying, er thinking, 'how can she be talking like this?" Well, there's many of y'all I've come to like and wish the best, If I didn't, I'd never had said a word--just walked away like a lot of the rest of your friends.

Ya know what? It's a gut-wrenching experience, boggling the mind really, to be given 'excuses' for what was allowed to happen because someone either wouldn't/couldn't stand up to the SCH and then have strangers you've never dialogued with apologizing for what happened to you.

Yeah.....there's something wrong in this world! Thing is.....no one wants to look in their own mirror to glimpse what part of the problem is.
