FINALLY. I finally understand it. Thank you for putting DNA analysis into simple terms.

Some are talking about the dog bed. No wonder Feldman made a big to-do of it. I'll bet HE thought it was used to transport Danielle's body, too! And that could be the reason we heard no more about it. Muddy Duddy wouldn't let him bring out anything that smacked of looking elsewhere, other than Westerfield himself.

It just struck me now that Damon VanDam might have been telling the truth when he said the dog had a nosebleed,but I've never head of a dog running into someone's shin hard enough to start anything bleeding.So I got to thinking about what could cause that dog's nose to bleed.

I'd guess that Damon really did pop that dog,but whether he did it with his hand or whith his foot is speculating. Does anyone here have any pics of Damon that were taken right after the disappearance was reported? Are either of his hands swollen,cut,or disfigured?

I've wondered if the fiber people looked for the orange fibers in the VD's house. Or any matching fibers. I know they refused to let the defense do any investigating there.

That's a very big possibility, isn't it! Do I remember correctly - they were not able to test for toxins in her body?

Those are just more troubling questions..why did he sell that van so quickly? Then he went out looking for her, when LE told him not to...also, didn't they check that spot by Dehesa earlier in the search, then someone had a 'hunch' to go back & look again..& they found Danielle the second time....?????????

The fibre folks got nothing from the VD home to compare against fibres, with the exception of the carpet sample.
So, no, no orange anything from the VD home was tested. Only the carpet sample. Melvin Kong did look for orange fibres in Danielle's bed/bedding and found none. That's all we and the jury know.

After reading the search warrants tonight, I see that the jury doesn't know about lots of stuff. At one point, BVD says the kids played in DW's living room.

The term "shortage of flies" was incorrect. I should have said, the anamoly of the dating of the fly infestation v. the date when she went missing.

Thinking like a juror, the "official" evaporation explanation would strike me as very weak because I suspect the fluid would be more gooey and ought to leave some residue. Plus, if the fluid should be under the body and the cavity was still moist, it seems there ought to be some moisture there as well.

IOW, if I were a juror I would dismiss that explanation and assume that either a predator did move the body without leaving any obvious tracks or that the real perp took the already decaying body and planted it there.

I would like to see answers to your questions also!!! It is so very troubling that the jury can't ask their own questions at trial.

I'd start by finding out who among the swinging 6 had a vacant house or vacation home. Or control of a home for sale. That's probably 3 to 10 right there. We know several are into realestate.

You'd make a great juror!

Well, if a scavenging animal moved the body, it couldn't have moved it THAT far. And if the animal moved the body AFTER the fluids had drained from it... well, there would be a trail of hair and some of that viscous fluid... and the body would have fallen apart, much more than just a missing foot. So I don't think it was moved by an animal. A juror might think so, though.
