I'm not angry so much at Costco as I am at the city of Cypress for its greedy, unethical tactics. BTW, your link worked great, thanks for sharing that!

gc6, that's good news and I'll pray that it all works out this time.

Stay with 5 or 10 miles over the speed limit, best 5 and you will probally be OK, UNLESS the patrolmans capt has gotten onto him for not writting enough tickets.

I have always used the "X+5" rule. The only speeding ticket I got in the last 15 years was when I broke this rule while sallying through a trap in Vienna, VA three years ago.

It took a while, but it worked for me. Words to live by, HOB. I think tonight I will get the dinnerware out that I save for special occasions. Thanks for the reminder.

Mr HOB and I plan to do that in the next few years. I would love for my father to come along with us in a travel home so that we could include the dogs.

You see, I don't think Mr HOB would leave Panda home now. He's so in love with that puppy.

I read all of the Hardy Boys mysteries, Nancy Drew mysteries, William deFoe's famous Robinson Crusoe, and Treasure Island ( in parts), and oh so many others. They were wonderful stories that I've tried introducing my nieces to but they are not the readers that I was. I don't think my nephew has read these stories either - can I blame the schools? Please?

Alas, Chair, I recently got one for sailing thru Franklin Farms the other week on the day my precious Brandi passed away. Talk about adding salt to the wound! But it happens, so... Just be careful, which I know you will be.

Saw your good news about Forrester ... glad that life is good in Jersey today. Hope all's well with you.
Well, I'm heading off now for awhile, it's time for some miracle work at the hair salon. See you all later.

Food TV has a show called "Ultimate Kitchens" and they just featured a couple of homosexuals and their kitchen. I had to change channels. If they keep it up, they will lose me as a viewer. I don't hate queers, but the in-your-face way they display their preference grates on me a lot. < /rant>

Haven't you noticed that a lot of the homes they feature on HGTV are homes of gay men? I finally figured out that one when I saw 3 episodes in a row of two men sharing a house and remodeling/redecorating it. I think I've seen one episode of Ultimate Kitchens with the gay men, and I will warn you now, they have an episode with lesbians too. They live in San Francisco and remodeled this lovely Victorian home and the kitchen is to die for... Sigh.

All the best decorating is done by gay men. It has always been that way, it's just that they just used to show the houses in the magazines and never mentioned who owned them.

I used to work in an up-scale furniture store, and the best designers with the biggest clientele were all the gay guys. Same with store display at department stores. I don't know why this appears to be so...whether it is because they are actually better or because it is an area in which they can advance without social disapproval.

But it seems to me to be so. I don't care as long as they don't act really blatant on camera, which is apparently what happened in the show John was watching.

Happy for her, but sad for you.

Things will work out for the best, you continue in Roomey's and my prayers.

That's the way I am Janey. When I worked retail all of the people in the "creative" desplays departments were gay or lesbian (why do we not categorize them in the same group?)they were very talented people and I was fine as long as they "behaved" themselves when talking to me. But, of course, I was the sameway with my hetero friends and their public displays of affection!
