All morning the Court TV people have been referring to the "penalty phase of the trial". Sounds like they all are expecting a guilty verdict. They expect the public to reserve judgment...but they want to discuss penalty phase. Huh???

should leave her brain to science so someone can
try and figure out how it functioned.

Nancy Grace is a former prosecutor. I wonder if she has used the same reasoning in the cases she pursued, and I wonder if any of those people were innocent and railroaded into prison?

We're waiting for the verdict & I'm trapped
having to have court tv on. First time since
this trial started, I've put that station on.
I only listen part of the day. (Just can't
stand those people.)

Maybe that's why she can't do it anymore and has to eat peanut butter and jelly on TV instead. I think her boyfriend did himself in, rather than marry her.

I listen because Court TV is the only place where you can get e replay of testimony. Otherwise, I would find something else to watch.

Yes, I know about Nancy Grace's background very well.
Before she joined court tv, she was quite conserative
in her thoughts. Well, apparently, that doesn't fly
with court tv producers. Therefore, Nancy has to
interject sensationalism, spin, gossip & sleaze.

Not too harsh for someone who talks about a "blood covered" RV and a body "covered with orange fibers", and who has expressly stated that "It's time we hung one of these middle aged white men".

I think "this other dude did it" is still a legit defense in this country.It is, but in the case of a child's murder, trying to pin it on the parents is likely to provoke a backlash from the jury, no matter how guilty they seem. The defense was wise not to try it.
