1. Steven J. Hatfill, a bioweapons expert, said his life has been ruined by the sloppy and unprofessional FBI investigation into the anthrax attacks.
[I’m not to sure of the particulars, but it can be argued the FBI is in serious need of reprofessionalization after the period from 1993-2001. Gee, who was President then?]

2. Washington DC’s Mayor Williams’ hands off management style has led to as many failures as successes.
[Yeah, like his most recent issue with the November ballot – p.1 of the demonflop handbook says that when you are going to cheat on elections, make sure you don’t get caught.]

3. US Airways was not able to recoup a $2 billion lost posted last year, mostly because of the terrorist attack on September 11; the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday.
[The fact they never really cared about customer service (at least that’s been my experience) didn’t help either.]
4. Morale has reportedly collapsed in the planning element of the Pentagon’s operation.
[Oh, not good. Maybe we need a good war to sort all that out. Hey, I know, let’s attack Saddam.]

5. A Saudi foreign policy expert indicated 16 terrorists extradited from Iran will be tried in Arabia, but this individual could not guarantee the United States will have access to the suspects. In any event, they will not be extradited to America.
[I think it is high time the Administration review Arabia’s level of assistance in the War on Terror.]

6. There are some workplaces that don’t frown on taking a nap during work hours – in fact, they encourage it.

7. The junior Senator from New York, 97, has been a strong fundraiser for the demonflops, and is not hoarding much of the money for herself.
[Of course not. The party needs the money so it can sprinkle it to special interest groups to run “independent” ads on Hitlery’s behalf in 2004.]

Heavy duty "music" week this week. I'm leaving shortly for a rehearsal for the theater group I'll be performing with this fall (this is the group that will be touring schools in the area with a musical based on Aesop's Fables.) Tomorrow is rehearsal for a concert I'll be playing for on Friday night as part of a combo backing up Jaime Cortez, who wrote the song "Rain Down"; he's coming for a liturgical musician's workshop on Saturday and will be performing several of his compositions in concert Friday night.
Also: will be arranging to take some organ lessons! I don't think I mentioned this here but I auditioned a couple of weeks ago for an organ scholarship which our Diocese gives out every year; actually they pick several people each year to receive a year of organ lessons, with an option for a second year. This year there were six people auditiong and two of us won scholarships. So I can finally learn the RIGHT way to play the organ.:)
