We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
US Airways Group became the first major airline to declare bankruptcy since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Israel has announced they will not sit quietly in the event of an Iraqi attack in response to an American descent.
Authorities placed the Golden Gate Bridge on a "superheightened" state of alert yesterday as credible terrorist threats became known.
Algore may think he deserves another run for the Presidency, but he has had trouble where it counts - convincing donors he has that right. His ability to raise funds for another Presidential run has not been very good.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Thanks, your thoughts and prayers are truly appreciated. I'm trying to find a toy for Jacob, he likes to watch things move and work.
To: Miss Marple
Her school has advised her to do most of her monetary transactions via credit card. I think that's good advice, except she'll have to HANG ON TO THAT CREDIT CARD.............
Good advice about the money belt, too........I'll tell her.
To: Miss Marple
p.s. She won't be staying in Paris, she will be in Avignon. But she IS planning to visit Paris..............
As well as the rest of Europe.;^)

Well, the problem is, I am a pianist at heart, and the organ scares me a bit. Too many keyboards, and you have to use your feet.;^)
My technique is not really very good. I tend to play the organ pianistically.
So my teacher will have his work cut out for him.
I hope he has LOTS of patience.:^)

One of my students just called and thinks she left her assignment notebook here. So I'd better to take a look. Then a quick shower and "Frasier". (We get 2 re-runs 9:00-10:00 every night and I love it.:)
Then bed.
We're supposed to maybe get thunder boomers tonight. I hope we do; it's terribly warm and muggy again.
See ya tomorrow.:)

One of the girls at work is getting married in October to a guy she met on the internet...3 months ago. She divorced about a year ago from a man she was married to for 20 years and said she was determined she would NOT live alone for the rest of her life. So, she went "internet shopping" (Christian websites) for a guy. He has come to the office a couple of times and seems very nice, but I'm very skeptical of the whole internet dating thing. Chicken, I guess.
I will keep Jacob and your family in my prayers. He's so young to have to go through all of this.

There's a new website just created, I've seen the billboards for it. It is called "HotSaints.com" and their motto is "Chase and be chaste." OK...
To: computerjunkie
Oops, I forgot to thank you for your prayers. Thanks so much.

Just a quick prayer request. Younger boychild is quite ill; fever; headache; joint pain. Slept all day........just got up and feels worse.
I'm taking him to ExpressCare.
To: MozartLover
I hope he is OK, especially with the joint pain.
To: MozartLover
Oh dear! Prayers starting up right away! Let us know something tonight if you can.

Yeah, those feet are hard to untrain.
I played some in high school, and pedaled with one foot, then took lessons for a year and a half in college, and learned to play with both feet. But you know, when I get nervous (which is every time I play the organ) I usually resort back to my old style.
The fingering technique is much easier, though, and if you've played much, you're probably already doing that right.
It should be fun.......I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely! Congrats again!

So glad to see you tonight. I've been waiting to tell you that at church last Wednesday the sermon was about "Come and see."
John 1:43-51 The discussion after the service was about evangelism and I held your Eric up. Everyone was inspired and impressed by his ability to witness at such a young age. He truly is an inspiration and a credit to his wonderful parents.

Wow! Do you have any idea how much your post means to me? Thank you, jtill! Thank you for sharing Eric's witness to your church, and thank you for sharing it with me.
My husband and I are in awe at what God is doing through our son! The prayers of family and friends at church, around the country, and here on FR have had such an impact on him.
He believes the words of Paul in I Timothy 4:12...
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
That's what Eric's goal is, and I believe that God is answering his prayers.

Prayers lifted for both of your loved ones.
I spoke with the instructor tonight, and it doesn't look like (subject to change) I'll be able to freep next week. We will be in the field, and I'm not about to cart a laptop and cell-phone etc... out into the field with me. At least we won't be eating MREs....

There was a discussion during a break at training tonight, and several of the young folks expressed their faith in the Lord. It was very heartening. I think there is more open discussion about Christianity now, than there was in the 80s in the military.

I think you must be right. Eric says that guys have come up to him out of the blue and asked him about the Lord.
IMO, 9/11 changed people more than we may realize......especially the young. Like the President says, one soul at at time.
To: ohioWfan
Don't get me wrong, Kipling's line about "young men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints" still applies, and there is still a lot of immoral behavior in the military, but on the whole, Christians in the military seem much more willing to be open about it. There are even some that say grace at the dinner-table.
Personally, I don't care who's around, when it's time for me to go to bed, I hit my knees and say my prayers like I always do.

You asked: "
"I am admiring of the stamina & care with which you do your job. How do you do this, and not take it home each evening?" And you answered as well: "***Life with Christ is an endless hope......Without Him, a hopeless end.*****"
Better than I could have said it!
Have a wonderful evening!
To: JRandomFreeper
Right......that's why Eric has also asked for prayer to protect him from the language and the sexual jokes. It ain't a monastery out there!
I'm sure the example you give in your own life has a very positive influence on the men around you. And the more people there are who are bold enough to show their faith, the more others will be attracted to it.
Thank you, John!
