AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 568) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 11, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/11/2002 4:36:24 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

A Lousiana state senator has said she will ask the US Air Force to aid in the fight against the West Nile Virus. It is not as far fetched as it might sound - they have a unit that specializes in insect control and eradication.

A British Sunday newspaper stated Saddam would admit weapons inspectors. It is believed to be a ploy to drive a wedge between Britain (where the notion of a war to topple Saddam is unpopular) and the United States (where it is popular).

President Reagan's condition is said to be worsening; he no longer knows who Nancy is. Prayers for an extrodinary American are in order.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I will not insult you with my first thoughts on your quote.

Needless to say they were not as innocent as your post.

Research time: If you were at a bed and breakfast on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and wanted a personal snack plate (12 inch plate) what would you want on it?

Some items might include: sunflower seeds and dates, cheeses, slices of summer sausage, crackers, fruits, canapes and finger sandwiches...

What would YOU like?

I agree with you /john. I'd buy the whole company a drink with Roomey's credit card, of course.

Looks like Trill is quite the handy-lady. I am too. Today, I've begun sanding an old metal headboard. Don't know exactly what I'll do with it, but it will be something. I've also been doing some stuff in the basement.

A cold bottle of champagne, Extra Dry,, very cold, cheese, crackers and Roomey would like a couple ice cold beers and some summer sausage.

Noted. We have a variety of tastes on ATRW, and I'm hoping to get several viewpoints.

I've been over at the old post office, trying to develop a rapport with the momma cat and kittens. They are very cagey.

I don't think about chocolate, because I don't like it, but I suppose others do. What kind of chocolate? cookies? brownies? candies?

Veggies and dip could fill a 12" plate. I'm thinking some water glasses with prepped veggies in them, and a flat bowl with a ranch or bleu cheese dip. Hmmmm.

I'm trying to keep my cost for each plate from $0.75 to $2.00 for a plate with meat.

The platter will be included in the room cost. The drinks, will be billed at 1.25 to 2x cost. Order accordingly. Grin!

I was teasing about the chocolate ..... you should have known that with all the chocoholics here that would have to come up. But something like chocolate mints would be a nice touch ..... or un-chocolate mints, for that matter, now that I think about it.

I've been watching what people are eating at the chow-hall. I probably need to include chocolate. Brownies are almost always a winner. Lots of things to write down..... ;>)

Utah Girl ~~~ You've been silent this weekend. Hope your talk this morning went well and was a blessing to all who heard it.

*HUGS*

Lorena ~~~ you are absolutely outdoing yourself on your breakfasts/graphics! If you're not careful, there will be a throng clamoring for you to keep the job ...... *grins*

Btw, I've saved a bunch of the things you've posted ..... they're just too good to use only once.

Aw, thanks, Kay. That's so nice of you to say. I'm only trying to live up to the high standards and wonderful example previously set by the master! Your pics have never failed to brighten my day and I'm glad you're having the chance to enjoy someone else's efforts for a change. I've been pretty quiet lately on the thread (just busy) but I want you to know that I've been keeping you close in my heart and mind with continuing prayers. *Hugaroonies*

Guennie, glad you enjoyed the movie and felt well enough to get out for a bit today. I'm sorry to hear that you strained your back again.
:(
Prayers that you're feeling much better very, very soon. *Very Gentle Hugaroonies* for you, Guennie bear ...

~~~ Prayers for all of our ATRW friends ~~~
