We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
WorldCom's fraud has now hit $7 billion.
97, the junior Senator from New York, will donate money she received from indicted ImClone founder Sam Waksal to charity.
But not all of it. She received $33,000. She will donate $7,000 to an as yet to be named charity. The remaining $26,000 was already donated to the demonflop Senatorial Campaign Committee's New York Senate 2000 - which is a soft money account set up on 97's behalf. 97 suggested the Committee donate the $26,000 to charity - but conveniently the Committee remarked that the money had already been spent.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Didn't you help solve all the world's problems with them last night,As an adult, I thought I should set an example, and stop at 5 beers. There were a lot of kids there between 18 and 21. The fraternization got on my nerves. I left before I pulled a "dad" and told some of the girls to go home.

The funny thing is that I'm uncomfortable just sitting around. Especially since I know there's work to be done. I guess I'm just set in my ways. ;>)

Yep! It's football season, al right! And I have a dilemma. DO we go ttothe movies tonight to see
Signs, or do we stayatahome and watch the exhibition game between the Panthers and the Redshins? Ummmm, what to do , what to do.
GC6, seems you are correct in your thinking about Armey! I agree... something is not right. And I too would like a vote taken verbally.

I know what you mean Neets. My guy bought the new puppy a playschool play yard so she wouldn't get out of the basket and fall down the stairs!

Neets, Where are you?
To: OneidaM
You guys have a wonderful day. Give Bit a hug from us, and tell him his skirt and pumps clash. 8>)

Neets, Chair, and I mentioned it but no one else advised they were interested.....a get together on the east coast that is....

Anything Monty Python is always welcome here. Just last month I bought "The Holy Grail" on video and let my two older daughters and two of their Tennessee cousins watch it with me. I was so proud of my daughters for thoroughly enjoying it (I fast-forwarded Castle Anthrax) and ever since then they have been doing bits from the movie. Their cousins, I think, just didn't get it.

Did we kill the thread? Or is it just me? Seems I get on late every morning and then it's time for everyone to do chores or something! LOL!! Have agood week-end - that's bad news about the cost of the braces, but at least you know the previous work done was good quality.
To: Singapore_Yank
You obviously have inculcated a sense of humor in your daughters. It takes a certain mind-set to enjoy Monty Python. I'm glad to say the 14 year old finally developed a sense of humor. It was touch and go there for a while. ;>)

Hey, have a great time! Ever been to Dave and Buster's? The kids would probably love it, but I gather they are not there!

Good morning! I think this is my first time back on this thread in about a month and a half. What a summer! Whoever said libraries were quiet, restful places has never been in my library. Plus, my supervisor decided to have a weeklong, mini nervous breakdown in July (after she had planned all these programs for us to do). Oh well, I survived.
Is anyone able to give me the highpoints and lowepoints of the summer so far? I feel very out of touch.
Guenevere, I wanted to thank you for your comments on the Westerfield Trial threads last night. It's a very troubling case to me and I like to see what others are thinking.
To: sunshine state
Hi sunshine, good to see you. I was just about to sign off for the day when I caught your post. It's been pretty quiet in the last half-hour. Hope you have a good day.
To: sunshine state
Thanks........
..I find I think of it often....and trying to divorce my intense dislike & suspicions of the parents, and whether Westerfield really did it.
I keep coming to the point that there's no evidence he was ever in that house.
...and I am amazed the prosecution 'didn't have time' to check out those other figerprints on the inside railing, the door and outside table.
I'm still confused that no one at the dry cleaners noticed any blood before dry cleaning or after..........but the police pick up the jacket, and presto/chango, they have blood.
I find the parents very culpable..........and cunning.
As for the rest of the summer, there are better, more qualified folks on this Forum Thread with excellent recall....than myself :)
It seems we've had an amazingly busy summer around ATRWland.........folks coming & going on vacations, and our very own W. returning from beyond our imagination :))
