Deliberations Resume Friday, 8-9-02 In Trial Of David Westerfield (VERDICT WATCH CONTINUES!)

SAN DIEGO, California (CNN) --A San Diego jury began deliberations Thursday in the trial of David Westerfield, accused of kidnapping and killing 7-year-old Danielle van Dam.

The panel of six men and six women adjourned for the day without reaching a verdict. It is set to resume deliberations Friday.

The TIPS program obviously has some good candidates on this board to come up the names of undesirables for re education or "disappearence". I would even grant a fair hearing to some one as full of rage as you and fsticks if I was your jurror, but its OK to have Kangaroo Courts for some on that has little direct evidence against them and significant excupatory evidence for, just because of the charge and the efforts of our infallible LE. Welcome to Bulgaria, 1985 folks. Pathetic.

Feldman referred to her orange sweater the day after she wore it to court. He was questioning one of the fiber people. Dusek and Mudd both screamed loudly. Feldman had to make a hypothetical about it I think. It's in the transcripts. Just another VD "in your face moment"!

Okay, so the judge knows she *does* have an orange
sweater, yet he chose to testify during Feldman's
closing that "It's red", knowing there is a great
possibility of the orange one.

David Westerfield has been in JAIL since February 22, at approximately 11:00 am. All of his computers are in the possession of LE. Seems very unlikely it's his. Do the math.

Besides, don't ya know, it's not "sinister" when the van damnits were "overly cooperative" with LE, but it's very
"sinsiter" when DW was "overly cooperative."

Have you folks gone through each of the forensic environments using the jury instruction regarding circumstantial evidence to winnow down the evidence and possibly breaking the links between each environment? If I were on the jury, I would like to go through each piece of evidence.

Van Dam house – any evidence? Does this break a link in crime path, actually the genesis of any linkage?


Westerfield house – what evidence can be excluded here:
Orange fibers – no source

One indication is that the DNA from hair degrades when in contact with water.
