My "quitting smoking" is going to pot today.

Judy!Judy!Judy!
Don't let something like this (or anything else) get you started smoking again.

Take a deep breath, hold it, let it out sloooowly. Repeat several times.

I finally made it going on six years now.

Why?...because at least one juror would have to have second thoughts concerning the Bug evidence.

I agree. Even though they are not to consider the sentencing, this is a death penalty case and a conscientious person would want to discuss the justifications for a decision that would ultimately put this man to death.

They may not say it, but they're thinking it

If the verdict is quick. it is almost always 'not guilty'. A not guilty verdict is much easier to explain than a guilty verdict. A guilty verdict would require much more discussion of the evidence.

"Judge would NEVER accept a hung jury on the first day."

Correct. Even after a week or two.

It appears the VanDams are whats holding court up. Taking there time getting there.

Lots of talk on CTV that it is possible the jury wants to be sequestered but there is no hotels, motels available until Sunday.

There is the lovely Hotel San Diego right across the damn street. Of course, I think alot of lower income people stay there.

There are hotels all around that courthouse...find it hard to belive there are not 12 rooms available. No big conventions going on this week that I know of.

The hotel thing is true. Summertime vacationers plus convention traffic keeps the hotels loaded here. Probably couldn't get hotel rooms anywhere within 10 miles of downtown.

How odd - I was just sitting here in my office thinking that I bet it's the VDs that aren't back yet. I must be having a psychic moment.

They aren't going to agree he is guilty. It will be the fault of the corrupt judge, the stupid jury, and the boring prosecutor.

I guess in your mind a person should change his or her mind if the jury delivers a verdict one disagrees with?

You are as pathetic as your long bug posts. You take up lots of space and say nothing.

Brenda is off at the Nordstrom's down the street, looking for a size 14 hang-'em high dress.

Could see if there is room at the Hotel Del Coronado. I hear it's an old place so the rates are probably pretty cheap.
