n the issue of the restraining order against the woman that the boyfriend got to prevent her aborting his child?

That is the part that irks me almost as much. IF she deigns to carry 36 weeks, she can screw him for the rest of his life, in Child Support, while denying him Fatherhood rights, but His potential interest, and the childs potential interest are somehow less worthy than her right to not be uncomfortable for 9 mos.

well seanny and the other guy were making that point, they cannot get around that very obvious inequity.

Not quite.... he was suing for his child. She would have had to sign over all rights and visitation. He'd never had to have seen her again. (different situation)

I generally stay away from this issue.

But hubby and I talked about it and came to pretty much the same conclusion.

If the ex-boyfriend is going to take full custody and responsibility, including all prenatal care, he should have say in the decision.

If he is just grandstanding because he doesn't believe in abortion or wants his 15 minutes of fame, he's got no say.

But in the end, if he is so concerned about the possibility that a possible offspring of his may be aborted - he should have kept it in in pants to begin with.

Hopefully he will learn from this.
