In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

refulgence, refulgency; noun
refulgently; adverb

I didn't think to check snopes, only because the person that sent the email is vigilant in not passing along bogus stuff and she also provided the person's name who sent it to her, who is also someone I know and know is vigilant about bogus stuff.

But thanks for checking anyway.

As you say - WOW!

I was speaking in generalities, currently.

But that is illustrative of what I am saying, his potential fatherhood, and the childs potential life, GREATLY outweighed the miniscule inconvenience to her for 36 weeks.

not child's POTENTIAL life, child's PRESENT life. until the baby is recognized as a live being with his/her own rights, they can continue to dismiss it as a meaningless inconvenience to the mother.

I've not seen the GE commercial.

Hubby was unable to go with me for my first sonogram, but they provided me with a picture - which solicited some of the funniest comments I have ever heard from him and everyone else who saw it.

Thank goodness our daughter is actually pretty, because without a doubt "alien" is the only word that can be used to describe her from that first picture.

He was with me for the second one and had tears running down his face watching the baby bouncing around as the tech was taking measurements.

Fortunately, she didn't bounce around enough for the measurements to not be taken, based on that info we were able to make the decision to forgo having any amnio done.

But she bounced around enough that no one was able to determine the sex at the time - cause we did not want to know. When I saw my OB the next week she considered us heros for not wanting to know - she said that we were her favorite kind of parents!!!

Gee Honey, there's our Choice...

...Charles or Jacqueline........

well that wasn't me! we drove to Philadelphia to see my best friend, who's an ob/gyn, and her hub, who is a radiologist, a month before xsteen was born, just to make absolutely sure. she felt around and he scanned me and so we knew.

I'm not looking for verification, dear.

We were talking last night and he admitted having a problem navigating around FR. so I was showing him different things.

He asked how could he find WFTD and I discovered you can't do a search for it in the News Section - so I showed him about General interst

anyway - i gave him the heads up about the self search and told him I would flag him to threads or posts I thought he would be interested in, that's why his name showed in the TO!!!
