Actually, today's a holiday in most of Canaduh, called "Civic Day" or whatever (first Monday in August). This was instituted some years ago to make up for the fact that Quebec gets June 24, St Jean Batarde, er, Baptiste day off and the rest of the country didn't. The town I live in has a pathetic parade, which is presently going past my place. I'll catch up on more sleep when they finish.
