We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The President has departed from Washington for the month of August. It will include many business trips. In spite of that, the leftist demonflops are already queueing up to say the President is lazy.
Saddam is suspected of creating a plan to arm Palestinian terrorists with biological weapons.
The SEC has expanded their investigation into AOL. They are focusing on their relationship with a Las Vegas software firm.
And the global warming nutcases have come up with a new one: American warplanes over Afghanistan are releasing huge amounts of global warming gases, and are responsible for the failure of the monsoon this year in that area of the world. Never mind the monsoon has always failed from time to time.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Guenevere, my daughter called me last niight at 11:00 PM to recommend this movie as well. SHE went to see it last night, too!

You are correct, but I thought the Walking Eagle bit, might be a tad more appropriate for a family thread. My mother used to tell me "Profanity was an effort of a feeble mind trying to express itself". Unfortunately, I become rather feeble minded when trying to discuss UOX42.

No, just a lot of rapid succession thunder claps and lightening..then a real quick downpour for about 15-20 mins....the power went out just before the storm blew full force...then it got quiet for the rest of the night..the police report fielding 40 calls in one hour for property damage.

Well, your daughter & my son appreciate finely nuanced & well crafted ideas, so for me, this movie is a
must see!!!
Having Mel Gibson as lead certainly helps, but I also really like Joachim Pheonix (he was the Emperor in Gladiator).
I recently watched Braveheart..again.
That movie is seamless......Mel directed it magnificently!!!!

Howdy friend, it's been a long time, it's good to see you back, and how is Mrs Reaganomics and Miss Marie? We've missed you, but understand you have been busy.
Howdy Chair, glad to hear your TDY to TX was cancelled, so close to your vacation departure.
I have a message in front of me from the Texas Cattle Feeders Assn - TAMU. It tells of a disappointment with McDonald's. McDonald claims that there is not enough beef in the USA to support their restaurants. (I thought we had lots) McDonald's has announced that they are going to start importing much of their beef from South America. The problem is that South Americans aren't under the same regulations as American beef producers and the regulations they have are loosely controlled. They can spray numerous pesticides on their pastures that have been banned in America and the residues have been found in cattle. They also use use various hormones and growth regulators that we can't.
All cattlemen who sell their stock at a livestock auction barn must sign a paper stating that they have not fed their cows any part of other cows. South American do not have this requirement.
American ranchers do raise the best quality beef in the world for us. It sounds like McDonald's who has been supported by Americans for over 30 years, finds American beef is now too expensive to make their hamburgers with. It sounds like their bottom line is more important than the beef they will be using for our consumption.
This letter was written by a fellow from the ACAP Dept of Animal Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I have purpoined a couple of his phrases, cause I couldn't say it better.

Wow...I haven't been in the thread for a while...my work IT Dept is now filtering web sites, and Free Republic is one of them.
When I log on in the morning at home, it's too early....just kayak's coffee (and Coke) for breakfast.

My cleaning lady went through 3 vaccums in 2 years, burned out the motors, and replacement motors plus the fee to put them in the old machines were almost as much as a new one.
My foreman's wife is still using an old upright Eureka that I bought in 1973. She won't get a new one. I use a canister in the basement I bought about 15 years ago. Of course, the one in the basement is seldom used. I'm not the world's greatest cleaner upper. I paint.

Touche, much better than Waddling Eagle.
If this deal with Mickey D's goes through and I had any thing to do with Wendy's or Burger King it would play a big part in my advertising.

Sooner or late the people of this country are going to wake up and demand the trial lawyers, and judges, be reined in. I hope it is sooner, because they have already caused incalcuable damage, and are looking to cause more. The line, "First, let's kill all the lawyers", from one of Shakespeare's plays, keeps coming to mind.
