You joined FR the same day I did. FReepers from every state went to Washington, DC by the thousands. That was so great, everybody pulling together.

I wanted so much to go then! From the pictures I saw, everyone really had a great time. I did go to some FReeper rallies in downtown Dallas though.

Over the years, I've noticed that October, 1998, was an active month for new memberships. I had lurked for a while, but it was the DC Rally that made me want to be a part of it, even if I couldn't be there in person. It was televised on C-Span - thrilled me, made me so proud.

Those were awsome times. I remember thinking that if it weren't for the internet that all would have been lost to the 'dark side'. The rally in DC was the best. I also wanted to attend. It was wonderful to see a grass roots conservative movement coming to life like that. I wonder if Connie Hair is still actively posting?
