In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

In yet another breathtaking display of moral turpitude,Democrats now talk down the economy with glee.

My soapbox issue of the day was triggered by watching the WorldCon execs getting arrested. These guys were in their young 40's. They have grown up in the times when all the "old-fashioned" morals were thrown out. Just as the sexual revolution was promised to usher in a new era, so was the "new economy" supposed to end the business cycle as we knew it.

However, despite attempts to badmouth the "old ways" in favor of the Brave New World, it's turned out that all these "new ways" were really based on lies and deceit. I'm imagining the WorldConMen saying, "Hey, look at this new way of accounting!"

Good Morning All,

Well, I'm off on another road trip to Baltimore Monday through Wednesday of next week. I'll check in when I can. The good news is that I have a club level see for the Orioles Tuesday night againt the Twins.

Unlike turpentine, turpitude causes stains. And now for today's poetry.

There are none so blind as won't see.
Gore said, "Bill's the best that will be."
A human qualude,
Moral turpitude,
Is Bill Clinton's real legacy.

"Obviously, the US Congress has no rules banning moral turpitude. In fact, one must wonder whether it is a requirement!"

Meanwhile, the network news people seem to insist on twerpitude for thier anchors.

Those poor girls. I don't think certain things should have been released to the media.

I'm glad that creature is dead, saves us the cost of having to kill him.

When it was a missing persons case it was good to have their names and pictures out there, but the media should have never said what those poor girls went through. What an invasion of privacy.

I'm glad that creature is dead, saves us the cost of having to kill him.

Wasn't this California....I'm glad he's dead so he can't get out on parole again and do this all over again.

My motto is "FFF!" = Finally Friday!

I'm still working on upload the picture, btw. The guy who had it on his PC accidentally deleted it, so I'll scan in the printed copy, and upload that.

I hope Massachusetts Legislators will show some fortitude against the turpitude of the nanny do gooders, and not over ride Governor Swift's veto of sections of the budget:
