AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 558) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 1, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/01/2002 4:02:09 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

In testimony before the Senate, a former Iraqi nuclear scientist said Hussein would be able to manufacture three nuclear bombs by 2005.

There is an intense debate, according to the Washington Pravda, going on inside the Administration on how best to topple the current regime in Iraq.

The Pentagon announced that Hammas is looking into ways to use chemical weapons with their terrorist bombers.

Airline are announcing a reduction in the number of flights on September 11, 2002 - noting that many Americans are not going to want to travel on that day.

Republicans intend to tie the issue of Iraq into the necessity for drilling in ANWR, saying Saddam makes it necessary to improve our domestic sources of oil.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A mind-set in today's world that says that fighting is bad, guns are of the devil and only of the devil, "can't we just all get along," girls are equal to boys in all ways and guys shouldn't feel protective towards girls, kumbayah ......

I can't criticize any of the victims in this case for anything except lack of prudence (and aren't we all guilty of that in so many ways ...... most of us are just lucky enough not to get in crisis situations as a result of it) ...... but I do wonder if kids were raised with different attitudes these days if it might make a difference in the outcome in some of these situations ...... not with the little kids lately but perhaps in this case.

Think of the little girl in PA who managed to escape on her own ...... she was probably a very "street-smart" young lady.

Wish I could hang around to debate and defend but I'm gonna get fired if I don't get back to work ........ *sigh*

I know how excited you are. I also know what heartbreak you are feeling. At least you didn't have to wait 13 stinkin' months like I did!

I tend to agree with you, MM. He seemed, today, a little big-headed when he expounded on Iraqu's lack of bio & chemical warheads. To speak of today's Iraq as if he knew it, is a little careless. He knows no more than we do, IMHO. He was quite proud of his movie, coming out, the fact that the FBI said it was good, etc.

I heard Sen. Lugar yesterday, for a few minutes, and he said the President was getting a "little weary" of the media's constant talking of the "invasion of Iraq", he hasn't considered it. I cannot remember our President ever saying anything about an Iraq invasion......it seems to me that this is a media thing. They are bored with Afghanistan, so they want another front to "jump on". Kosovo has completely dropped off the liberal tv screens, newspapers, & magazines.
Today it is the stock market and how it has gone in the tank and the presstitutes hope the market will be terrible in time for the elections.

I guess if you're one of the good ole boy democrat, the "ethics" committee will only slap your wrist leaving you free to ride to the senate again. Yet, the fellow who "forced" a gift on the ole boy is in jail. What a farce!

Nita, you are exactly right about working for a great organization. You are a good employee and loyal. Too bad we don't have more like you and Chair and a few others. We're lucky you're there.
BUT......take care of yourself. Seems you're not feeling well a lot of the time. Do you take vitamins and minerals? The help a lot.

I am weary of the press myself. The "are we there yet?" questions are getting on my last nerve, as is the constant stream of leaks in the New York Times.

I wish that the press would just go away for a while.

Lugar is pretty good, although he does seem a trifle pedantic sometimes. My brother took a class under him when he was teaching at a university, before he ran for the Senate. My brother thinks he is one of the smartest guys he ever met. Are you sure you are quoting Lugar correctly? I doubt that the President hasn't even considered an invasion.

Good Morning all!

Another very hot day here with temps in the mid 70's

Everyone here is sick. It seems a cruise ship arrived in Seward last week with a couple of hundred passangers infected with the "Norwalk virus" (causes a nasty stomach flu). Aparently, the ship has been quarntined on it's return to Vancouver and will be "disinfected". In the meantime, it seems that everyone who had contact with the passangers from Seward to Denali has the runs! (Canadian Bioterrorism!) LOL

From the I thought I'd seen it all file: -

I responded to a single vehicle rollover yesterday to find both patients (married couple) absolutely naked and nearly 150 miles from home (I guess a little hankey pankey in the car had gotten out of hand) I am sure glad we carry a lot of blankets (and they were too LOL!)

Honestly what I think is happening is this...I had a major set back at work from when Chaos was going through her crisis last year..things still have not settled or really improved much..I just deal with it in a different way now...

Obviously my work suffered as a result of it..and not to sound like a pity party or anything, but someone chose to use that a basis of forming her opinion of my work habits and quite honestly I think she is unfair because she has never had kids and is being influenced by a co-worker of mine...So at times it is as if my best is not good enough and I will never be able to overcome that obstacle...

HHHmmm, just read the Scot Ritter article...I didn't hear, this AM about the funding of his movie....so an Arab is giving him $400,000, huh? Now, I understand why he brought up the fact that the FBI "ok'd" his movie. I just heard him say he told his backers he didn't want any "dirty money" connected to the movie. Oh, my, my one shoud always be up front when speaking....'cause when the story changes even a little, someone will find the original.

Well, maybe the heat has warped my brain, but I too am having difficulty swallowing this story.

"how was one man supposed to subdue a 17 year old girl .....while duct taping her boyfriend ...???"

For that matter, how could he be duct taping the boyfriend...........while holding a gun????

Did these people not SCREAM FOR HELP???? It's not like there was nobody else in the area.

I saw one of the young men interviewed........this kid was a bruiser........didn't he fight at all??? The other thing is, he looked eerily calm for someone whose girlfriend was just abducted at gunpoint.

I haven't even looked at the other thread yet (the one dealing with this story); this are just my gut reactions from what I've seen so far.

You and I must just have............"Suspicious Minds".:)

gc, metal is good, and when you sink the stabilizers, if you use metal for them, make sure they are painted with a rust retardent. For goats, we use 4", as 6" wire allows the goats to get their heads stuck. The fence is about 36" high and we run 3 barb wires across the top. They are imps, and curious anf fun to watch. Did you know that they will travel about 6.3 miles a day foraging, I'm speaking of Spanish goats. What kind of goats are you going to raise? Our foreman raises goats, so we have to keep them fenced. At the moment, he is crossing Spanish goats with Boar, for the meat.
