We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Senator LIEberman, apparently the best the people of the State of Connecticut could send to Congress, said he would call former Treasury Secretary Rubin to testify before his Committee, "if he could shed light on the Enron collapse."
Meanwhile, the Justice Department has opened a probe into the accounting practices of AOL.
For accepting gifts from a businessman he then assisted, Senator Torricelli was "severely admonished." For those not familiar with the process, that means the Torch was told he was a very bad boy and shouldn't do that again.
Secretary Rumsfeld says airstrikes alone will not get the job done as far as removing Iraqi WMDs are concerned. He said that because of spys providing information to the Russians (he didn't mention by name, but Hansen comes to mind) that was then passed to other nations for a fee, the Iraqis now know how we look for things and can hide their activities all the better.
Other US officials promised Congress there would be no "October Surprise," saying it would take until early next year to finish preparations for war against Iraq.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
I looked into it for my m-i-l. She pays $40.00 a year for the plan and 30% of the prescription cost.
Seems to me a federal plan would be unnecessary here in NYS. What ya think, Nita?
I remember my grandparents taking us when were little. It is still vivid in my memories.
You said just what I was thinking. The props didn't do lil' Tommie much good, did they?
On a happier note, I heard a great radio commercial today. Several weeks ago, in our local market, Jean Carnahan started running TV ads, where she takes credit for many things. Among others was Carnahan taking credit for the TWA/American airlines merger. Today the Missouri Republican party aired a commercial taking her to task on it, citing a letter from TWA pilots, and asking people to call Carnahan's office (with a phone number) and tell her that in Missouri, we need responsible representatives, and not a mis-representation of the facts. I was whooping and hollerin' and beating my steering wheel! ;o)
One of the President's judical nominee's won conformation.....hahahaha!!!!
He is a damn crook plain and simple ....and that isn't playing well here.
Red Rabbit will take place right after Jack Ryan leaves the corp and joins the CIA.
I have one problem with Clancy......he jumps around to much....I am looking forward to the sequel to Executive Orders but no....we get a young Ryan..
Meantime, here is a picture of the man who will run against Carnahan. Jim Talent, a great guy, and only not our governor because of a about 20,000 "late cast" votes in Missouri! (The other guy, I think you all know! LOL!)
This pageant has been around for years & years & years....
I'm sure kayak knows about it.
It's the story of the Cheokee/The Trail of Tears.
....Florida has one called the Cross and the Sword.....Florida's history with Spain, the Indians and great booming cannons.
Our daughter crawled UNDER the seat during the production because of the cannons.
I placed an order with Amazon over a month ago which included Jack Buck's book, The Sum of all Fears, and the culinary textbook that John, our favorite gourmet on this thread had recommended. First I get a notice that there is no way for them to even fill the Jack Buck order, now they tell me that Clancy's Sum of all Fears is back-ordered. Meantime, I'm getting hungry for all those recipes!
