A DECENT three bed single family home, in a DECENT neighborhood will be a grand, or much more, per month.

Huh. That sounds cheap to me. But then, I live in the Bay area. A decent three bedroom single family home in a decent neighborhood will rent for at least $2800, and that is in the less desirable locations. In towns like Walnut Creek, a two bedroom apartment will go for $1600, and up, depending on location and amenaties. Ain't it great?
