Hi folks, I'm back from having my face x-rayed. No fracture of the cheekbone, just a plain old shiner.

I agree, Aggie Mama, for all we know it could have been 10 or 20 Flight 93 passengers who stormed the cockpit, but all we hear about are the four men who had made contact with someone on the ground. Because we don't know who did what, I think there should be no medals, rather than medals for everyone or medals for just four. Personally, I'm uncomfortable with people achieving fame through misfortune. I know if my husband died such a horrible death, I'd want to be left alone, rather than appear on every talk show from here to California, but that's just me - a curmudgeon.

If anyone hasn't heard, the former SLJP (now Beep) - who has visited the Guild on occasion - had an accident yesterday and was in a coma, at last report. Please pray for her (Sharon).

I'm so glad to hear about your shinner. Yes, I read on another thread that SLJP (now Beep) is in a coma. Prayers on the way.

Glad your face isn't broken. The last time I had a shiner was when my oldest son was 18 months old. I was trying to get him to lay down in our bed to sleep.(It was about 2 am) To make a long story short, he jumped on me and broke my nose. (I love late night trips to the ER) He did this two weeks before Christmas, the holiday photos were really lovely that year.

Be prepared to get some odd looks when you go out.

I read about Beep, she has had so many serious health difficulties, she certainly didn't need to have an accident on top of it. Prayers being sent for her recovery.
