My eyes!! My eyes!!!
I was watching Oprah today ( I never watch Oprah). She was having a makeover day. Well guess who needs the biggest makeover. Oprah herself. Picture this, Oprah in a white lace mini dress. When she sat down it was so hideous. I see London I see France, I also see HUGE legs.
Bless her heart, she has enough money to cover up those legs. It was horrible. I wish I had a Snappy.

Have you a soft ice pack to lay against your face? In any event, Target sells all brands of concealer including physicians formula which IMO is kind of dry and might hurt. Undetectable Maybelline is okay, Cover Girl too. It's hard to find concealer in a tube but it's easier to apply.
Good luck with your eye, from Norma Desmond. i use this movie line re: dems: "This is for all the people in the dark."

Hi ladies! Just got back in town from Gulf Shores. We had a great time and I actually didn't get burned too badly. =)
HLL, I picked up some 9 x 12 envelopes, so the pictures will be in the mail tomorrow!
Looks like I missed out on a lot while I was on vacation. I didn't even know about the miner situation until last night. We spent most of our time at the pool, beach, and wonderful outlet mall. I picked up my first Coach purse in about 15 years. I love it and I got it for a steal. I also managed to find some darling shoes at the Liz Claiborne shoe outlet to go with my Talbot's dress for my SIL's wedding.
Hope everyone had a great week. Glad to be back. I sure did miss you guys. =)

I've had two black eyes in my lifetime. One I got from a horse, and one I got from a bedpost - that story is too dumb to believe and not nearly as exciting as it sounds.
Nothing but time helped for me. I hope you are luckier and find a concealer that works. Do ice it - that really helps decrease the bleeding and swelling.

I love the thread today! Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Oh man it's hot! I tried to get all my errands done before noon and it was still stifling. Had to put my car in the shop to fix the AC, it's just struggling too hard to work and we don't want it to break down at this time of year. Is July over yet?!
Glad I missed Oprah today, sounds like it was quite a sight!

Subject: More on the Legacy
CLINTON REMEMBERED
Manufacturers announced today that they will be stocking America's
shelves this week with "Clinton Soup," that will honor one of the
nation's most distinguished men. It consists primarily of a weenie
in hot water.
Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill
Clinton. The Dodge Drafter will begin production in Canada this year.
When Clinton was asked what he thought about foreign affairs, he
replied: "I don't know, I never had one."
American Indians have nicknamed Bill Clinton as "Walking Eagle" because
he is so full of crap he can't fly.
Clinton only lacks three things to become one of America's finest
leaders: integrity, vision, and wisdom.
Clinton was doing the work of three men: Larry, Moe and Curly.
Revised judicial oath: "I solemnly swear to tell the truth as I know it,
the whole truth as I believe it to be, and nothing but what I think you
need to know."

We're glad you're back too! Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. I sure would like some of that. But alas my vacation money is a big hole in the backyard.
Is Gulf Shores in FL? If it is I'm sure it was steaming hot.
It is starting to look like a pool again, they finished the deck today, just have to put the acrylic paint on now. Then the diamond brite and we're DONE! I can't wait! Why does it seem hotter when you can't use the pool?

We need a dancing Jeb! Stop by and see us more often, I know you're very busy but it's always nice to see you. :-)

Good job with the Alabama vacation - what a lovely spot you chose. Now to unwind and relax, and catch up with your life. JL

Gulf Shores is in Alabama, about an hour away from Pensacola. Actually, while we were there, it was in the upper 80's.
http://beachclubal.com/res.htm <-----This is where we stayed and it is absolutely heaven. My parents are considering buying a condo there (please, please!!!).
The kids had a blast, except my 20 month old kept eating the sand. =)
To: BigWaveBetty
BTW, I'm so jealous about the pool. One of the qualifications for our next house is a pool---right after the big kitchen, more closets, and playroom for the kids. =)
To: lodwick
Thanks. We absolutely love it there. The worst part of the trip is the 9 hr. trip from Houston. Luckily, we picked up a portable DVD player, so that made the trip much easier with the kids comatose on videos. =)

Mr. M thought the folks at the golf outing Wednesday might be impressed that I got a black eye playing basketball with a bunch of guys. They'll know I'm a tough competitor, anyway.
Right now I look like a baseball player who puts those black smudges on his cheeks to reduce glare, except I have it under only one eye, and it's more of a blackish-purple hue (whatever isn't blue, that is).
In any event, I'll probably go au naturel (that means without concealer in this instance, Fintan, not without clothing).
To: Aggie Mama
Pools are great and especially when your husband does all the work to keep it from being green.
That is a beautiful resort, I'll cross my fingers that your parents decide to buy a condo there. Don't forget your Guild buddies if they do! :-)
except my 20 month old kept eating the sand. =)
My daughter used to do that too at that age but with a twist. She'd take whatever she was eating and dip it into the sand and then eat it. weird!
