Funny that a Star Wars fan should post this, because my first instinct was that it looked like the kind of "cultural art" Lucas like to put in the background of the Star Wars series to give his societies deapth and history. Of course since it's non-symmetrical it's clearly a fake. Perhaps you're taking credit this one? ;-)

The part of the formaion in the lower left corner looks like the plug on the end of an electric cord. Perhaps the aliens are telling us they want to borrow our power tools?
