Timing Suspicious On Mysterious Suburban Crop Circles
Could Eerie Mystery Have To Do With Movie Release?
Is it a case of mysterious crop circles -- or an elaborate movie hoax?
A soybean farmer in Naperville said the broken, concentric rings that appeared in a field off Diehl Road left him scratching his head.
"Have you ever heard of something so crazy?" Steve Berning said. "Unbelievable."
Berning said the circles appeared last weekend and damaged more than 10 percent of his 8-acre field.
The circles do resemble similar ones seen in England, but in this case, the timing of their appearance in the western suburb is a bit suspicious.
Two weeks from now, "Signs" hits the big screen. The movie starring Mel Gibson involves -- you guessed it -- mysterious crop circles.
William Leone, an investigator with the Mutual UFO Network, said soil analysis could determine whether the circles have human or extraterrestrial origins.
But Illinois Farm Bureau spokesman Dennis Vercler scoffed at that idea.
"Since I don't believe in UFOs -- at least not soybean-destroying UFOs -- I have to assume whoever did this did it intentionally as a malicious prank," Vercler said.
Meanwhile, Berning doesn't seem overly upset about the circles.
"There's some damage, which upsets me," Berning said. "But I'm more curious than anything. I"ll always be asking questions."

Discovery of an Ancient 3D "Relief Map" of the Ural Region. Discovered in China!
Do you think it impossible that in the course of at least 994,000 years of time that went by while we were here on this planet but before our history begins, that human civilization just may have done something other than dwell in caves?
Our species has been around maybe 5% or 10% of that time. And yes, it's impossible for them to have done anything of significance without leaving a lot of evidence behind. If it pleases you to believe that the "Old Ones" are coming back, and are scrunching up the corn fields to tell us about it, that's fine with me. It's your brain. Use it as you wish.
Can you tell me the reasons why you think the crop formation in post #519 is a hoax?
Sure, it is not symmetrical, but does asymmetry automatically disqualify a crop formation from being authentic?
The circles are irregular, there are obvious paths connecting the circles which would need to be there for humans with planks and ropes to wander through the field while creating the formation, and the pattern is non-geometric. There is no symmetry reflected in the execution of the design nor in the design itself.
And this WOULD be the perfect time for hoaxsters to get some attention in relation to the movie "Signs". And it would also be the perfect time for those wishing to discredit crop circles to perpetrate a hoax or two in order to reinforce the claim that all crop circles are man-made by hoaxsters.
Uh-oh, now it's a conspiracy. He's definitely entering The Medved Zone!
He spent his adolescence there, and he's moved on, way beyond the Medved Zone. This guy's way out there, on the north pole of Uranus.
So now you're claiming that Homo Sapiens have only been around for 50,000 to 100,000 years?
Well, if you look at the Timeline of the Hominids, it appears that modern Homo Sapiens have been here for around 500,000 years. BUT, you'll also see that "archaic" Homo Sapiens date back to around 1.2 million years.

Maybe it's both: farts!
If the formation is geometric, but it is asymmetrical and geometrically incorrect, then it is flawed. If the formation is a human face, and it is symmetrical and of proper proportions, then it is not flawed.
