Timing Suspicious On Mysterious Suburban Crop Circles
Could Eerie Mystery Have To Do With Movie Release?
Is it a case of mysterious crop circles -- or an elaborate movie hoax?
A soybean farmer in Naperville said the broken, concentric rings that appeared in a field off Diehl Road left him scratching his head.
"Have you ever heard of something so crazy?" Steve Berning said. "Unbelievable."
Berning said the circles appeared last weekend and damaged more than 10 percent of his 8-acre field.
The circles do resemble similar ones seen in England, but in this case, the timing of their appearance in the western suburb is a bit suspicious.
Two weeks from now, "Signs" hits the big screen. The movie starring Mel Gibson involves -- you guessed it -- mysterious crop circles.
William Leone, an investigator with the Mutual UFO Network, said soil analysis could determine whether the circles have human or extraterrestrial origins.
But Illinois Farm Bureau spokesman Dennis Vercler scoffed at that idea.
"Since I don't believe in UFOs -- at least not soybean-destroying UFOs -- I have to assume whoever did this did it intentionally as a malicious prank," Vercler said.
Meanwhile, Berning doesn't seem overly upset about the circles.
"There's some damage, which upsets me," Berning said. "But I'm more curious than anything. I"ll always be asking questions."
Translation: First, we have to see if they took credit for it.

If you're referring to the image that Jedi Master Yoda posted, it does appear to be symmetrical from the angle shown, so it could in fact be authentic. Obviously, it would be easier to examine for symmetry if the image were overhead rather than at an angle.
If you think I'm waiting for a team of liars to claim "they" did it, then you are seriously mistaken. If some con artist claimed to have built the Brooklyn Bridge and offered to sell it to you, would you buy it?

The circle that started this thread is obviously some kind of tribute to, or promotion for, the new Mel Gibson movie, imo. We went from the early to mid 90's until basically now without hearing about any crop circles (after those 2 guys in England came forward with their story and explaination how they did it) and suddenly now there are more circles, just when Signs (the movie all about them) comes out?
If that's just a coincidence, then I'll resign my FR membership (much to the delight of some I'm sure, but that's how certain I am that it's not a coincidence).
But then we'd know!

There's many circles formed every year, it's just that they are seldom reported by the media here in the US. The two geriatric gentleman I think you're referring to, Doug and Dave (one of whom died sometime ago), eventually recanted many of their claims when pressed on where and how they constructed the circles. In fact, it pretty much became obvious that they simply LIED about their supposed "works"..

Take a look again at the image. The more you look at that area of the formation, the more you realize that it's hoaxed..
What are we to make of that? Well, if you multiply 33 by 20 you get 666, a highly significant number. But where does the 20 come from? Ah, there's the mystery. So much to learn about "Sacred Geometry" with its "vibrational resonances."

These 3 points, for me, rule out the possibility that they are all made by humans with ropes and planks.
The lack of symmetry is intentional. It's a left eye.
Three sides of 11 rays each ... 33 rays in all ... 11 is the number one written two times. 33 is the number three written two times. We have a mystical progression of one two three ... two times 3 is 6 ... three times 3 is 9 ... so yes, it's all quite clear to me ... it all leads to 69. Message understood!
Yeah, I can't believe the soybean police didn't jump right on two guys in a field. I mean, I know the police can't be everywhere, but this is soybeans, in Illinois, in an open field ... incredible the police weren't watching for this ....
