Timing Suspicious On Mysterious Suburban Crop Circles
Could Eerie Mystery Have To Do With Movie Release?

Is it a case of mysterious crop circles -- or an elaborate movie hoax?

A soybean farmer in Naperville said the broken, concentric rings that appeared in a field off Diehl Road left him scratching his head.

"Have you ever heard of something so crazy?" Steve Berning said. "Unbelievable."

Berning said the circles appeared last weekend and damaged more than 10 percent of his 8-acre field.

The circles do resemble similar ones seen in England, but in this case, the timing of their appearance in the western suburb is a bit suspicious.

Two weeks from now, "Signs" hits the big screen. The movie starring Mel Gibson involves -- you guessed it -- mysterious crop circles.

William Leone, an investigator with the Mutual UFO Network, said soil analysis could determine whether the circles have human or extraterrestrial origins.

But Illinois Farm Bureau spokesman Dennis Vercler scoffed at that idea.

"Since I don't believe in UFOs -- at least not soybean-destroying UFOs -- I have to assume whoever did this did it intentionally as a malicious prank," Vercler said.

Meanwhile, Berning doesn't seem overly upset about the circles.

"There's some damage, which upsets me," Berning said. "But I'm more curious than anything. I"ll always be asking questions."

Do a search on Amazon.com for Linda Molton Howe. She won a Pulitzer for her reports on cattle mutilations, and done 20 years or so research on the topic of crop circles and mutilations.

Wow, that is wild. If I were the farmer, I'd build a tower, and I'd charge five bucks a head (three for kids) to climp up there and gawk and snap photos.

I grew up in Naperville when it was a population of 5,000-----believe me there are enough nutrods living there, old and new, and all it would take is a few beers at The Lantern and a lawn mower to pull this thing off.

We used to do wacky stuff like this but back then it NEVER made the national news!!!!!!!!

No offense guys, but we're talking probably three to five hours to actually do it, plus many hours beforehand to design and plan such a thing. I just can't see spending all that time for a total of $10 ;)

Thank you for going to so much trouble.

Trying to pound some sense into the crowd that sees no problem with Waco, Murrah Bldg., Flt 800, Twin Towers, etc. is an exercise in futility.

While in some circle (nice pun there) that triangle with the dots in it might have some super secret meaning, out here where I live it's a common toy

You aren't well versed in ancient history it seems. Take a look at the links below..

THE TETRACTYS OF PYTHAGORAS

PYTHAGORAS of SAMOS

Why? Why fly across the galaxy to grafitize a corn field?

How else would they give us subtle hints without alarming us? What if they HAVE sent OTHER signals that have been ignored or silenced by "scientists", either on orders or out of sheer denial? MANY ancient relics have been either destroyed or labeled as "hoaxes" when the evidence didn't fit the current model of what is true and how things should be.

And please no "sacred geometry" crap, I've tried to read those things but every time I do I fall out of my chair in just a couple of paragraphs; very little in this world is sillier than "sacred geometry".

You probably have no idea what "sacred geometry" really is..

I see you have your little team assembled for this thread. Hope you're ready to work the weekend...

This may surprise you, but no one is assembled to deal with your crop-circle alien fantasies. Almost everyone here has come for the amusement value of these harmless pranks. And also to see yet another example of what some folks will grab onto ... UFOs, Bermuda Triangle, pyramid power, ancient astronauts, astrology, magic crystals, channeling ... now it's silly shapes in the broccoli fields.

Thank you for going to so much trouble.

You're welcome, and I thank you for your kind words.

Trying to pound some sense into the crowd that sees no problem with Waco, Murrah Bldg., Flt 800, Twin Towers, etc. is an exercise in futility.

Perhaps, but there ARE some who just might become better informed by reading these articles. I don't see the effort as futile.

What makes you think they are trying to communicate with us humans?

Plants can communicate as well... how else can I explain away an ice cold watermelon calling to me right now.

From The Tree of Life Crop Circle Formation

The crop formation is pictured on the left, above. The depiction on the right is one version of the ancient Tree of Life. The Tree of Life, of course, is mentioned many times in the Bible, from the beginning of the Book of Genesis to last part of the Book of Revelation. One who eats from this Tree, according to the Bible, is given "eternal life." The above diagram of the Tree of Life is part of an ancient tradition called "Kabala." Other spellings of the word include, kabbala, cabala, cabbala, quabala, and qabbalah. This is generally known as a special Hebrew tradition, the occult philosophy of certain Jewish rabbis, especially in the Middle Ages, based on a mystical interpretation of the Scriptures. Many scholars believe that the tradition is much older; that it traces back to the ancient Egyptians and Sumerians.

foxnews with shep will be reporting on a "light" chased away by US fighters over Andersen AFB last night.

Have they aired it yet?

I was wondering when someone would start to think that the pictures of the "crop circles" were just a PhotoShop picture.
