Here there are the remains of what once must have been a single track logging road. Where it crosses the little stream someone long ago built a pipe from two half logs, each hollowed out a bit with the log larger in diameter riding over the smaller one in order to keep out dirt. Over the years we have had a flood or two that took out almost every culvert in the county. But that one continued to function and still does. One could drive over it today without fear of its collapse.
