I read a thread where they say these kind of abductions are down, but it sure seems to me they are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden.

I couldn't agree with you more - this is very sick. Could it be a "Columbine Syndrome" occurring, only in this case copy-cat child killers seem to be on the rampage - seeking their 15 minutes of, albeit twisted, fame? It's a mad, mad world.

They did have an interesting interview with a forensic phschologist on MSNBC just after the body was found. (I wish they had transcripts) but she said that one pedophile will become emboldened by hearing about other pedophile obductions and murders since just the act of being sexually engaged with a child sets off their fantasy world. They become worked up and act out.
