Judge William D. Mudd admonishes the media about attempts to photograph Neal Westerfield, son of defendant David Westerfield, as the son left the courtroom during a break in his testimony Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2002, in San Diego. The judge had ordered the media not to film the teen. David Westerfield is accused of the kidnapping and murder of 7-year old Danielle van Dam from her home in February. (AP Photo/Pool, Dan Trevan) |

Unfortunately, you, and some guy called cyncooper lose any credibility you might have, by the way you POST! Ahem, You have a quarrel with the way I post? I'm watching the trial and often post transcripts to support statements I make. What's the prob?
To: juzcuz
Best I remember she took her to a manicurist. I think Dusek ask her during direct. Who knows if it's true or not.

I'm going to weigh in and say I don't think it is fair to tear the parents apart for saying stuff like that. Our family lost a small child (not my own) and when there are other kids involved you do have to think of them, too. After 7 days they were probably realizing she was dead, while hoping she was alive.
Just my 2 cents.

You're so right. I think seven days is plenty for moving on. When life gives me lemons, I make lemonade. I know I can't change the past. Life is for the living!

Plus BvD had no idea who Danielle's dentist was.I also don't find this odd. I have experience working in clinics--medical and dental. These days the practices can be huge and you rotate. Or, seeing a dentist twice a year, you wait for the reminder card to come in the mail. I took many calls from caring parents who wanted to schedule appointments with "the Dr. she saw last time" for instance.
I know many here can recite by heart all of this stuff, but it is normal not to have it right in your head. When I signed my daughter up for girl scouts I couldn't remember her pediatrician's name and had to give it the next time for the paperwork. Of course, I had it on file. My daughter goes once a year for a check-up and a couple extra times for (thankfully) minor things.

My problem is very much like the others that you post to,
they appear as biased, never giving thought to what the other person is saying, rather snide in your remarks!
I know you mean well, definitely have formed your opinion which you share, but give the others that respond to you a break! Nothing wrong with giving it a posite thought.
This is a forum for discussion of facts as WE see them,
please see this as such, enjoy the information, maybe you can be constuctive, everyone will listen if you present valid information, and common sense. Please except my appologies for singling you out, BUT, as someone that is sitting on the fence, I would like some constructive imput and that includes YOURS! Regards

I so appreciate hearing that. Thank you.

I do appreciate your response------Thanks

I have four children, now grown. I always knew who their dentist and doctor was. First, I wanted to know if they were the best available to me in their field and would never have taken my children to a group clinic where first come first served.
But, thats just me and I don't live in SD.

Brenda
thought Danielle bit her nails. She ended her statement with a question mark in her voice. As in, is that the correct answer?
9 Q CAN YOU DESCRIBE FOR US HOW SHE OR YOU KEPT 10 HER FINGERNAILS?
11 A I THINK SHE BIT THEM.

I would love to see a copy of that cookie order form to see in what order the names appear on the form. Even undated, that would give a clue as to when the sales were made.
Also, why did Denise smile when she said that was Danielle's own handwriting? That seemed "creepy" to me. JMO

sock puppet n.[Usenet: from the act of placing a sock over your hand and talking to it and pretending it's talking back] In Usenet parlance, a pseudo through which the puppeteer posts follow-ups to their own original message to give the appearance that a number of people support the views held in the original message.
Incredible mastery of HTML craft Strela...maybe if we all behave, you can give us a lesson.......
Applause......clap, clap, clump...

I agree you do have to consider the other children. But I disagree with thinking of the future in the way they meant. After 7 days you are praying that you can make it through one day at a time. Most people aren't thinking of 15 years from now.
