San Diego police arrested Whitmore on Jan. 27 The same day Danielle's body was found. My they were busy that day. All this January February stuff is confusing me. Did Danielle die in Jan or Feb???

Just in casual conversations with people about these types of issues..they are listening to the news...and are clutching their kids a little tighter than normal. Have you noticed a chance it attitudes about kids at all?

The orange fibers in question were long acrylic. Witness said the type of fibers in a blanket....or a sweater as shown in court this week

Hm, so how did those same type of fibers get tangled in Danielle's hair around her necklace, in Westerfields laundry---all of it, from washer,dryer and on top of the dryer, in his bed in the master bedroom, on a towel in the MH and in his SUV????

All this January February stuff is confusing me. Did Danielle die in Jan or Feb???Nobody knows for sure when she died in Feb. The VanDams said she was in bed 2/1 then disappeared. We don't know for sure if she was killed that night or any night until her body was found 2/27.
The thing about the Jan time is the Anthropologist today put the time of death 4 to 6 weeks from the time the body was found 2/27. 6 weeks from that time would put it almost the middle of January.
There is no evidence she was missing before 2/1 so his timeline is way out of line.
His testimony never helped the prosecution at all IMO.

The school had reports of this happening but ignored it. Finally he was caught and brought to trial.

The prosecutor, more than likely hooked the jury when they started discussing how the skin can dehyrdate quickly on small children, within 24 hrs...it would be unappetizing to bugs until the skin is broken by animals, such as a rodent. He did a great job explaining the bacteria's role in decomposition as well. He makes it understandable as to why there was no bodily fluids under the body or settled underneath her. It explains a LOT. Feldman might recover, if he has a rebuttal witness that's an expert mummyologist too.

Would have been helpful if they would have tested fibers from the vests, the orange shirts that LEO was wearing while evidence collecting, see if 180Frank used an orange blanket in his car to protect from dog hair, etc.
If they had a source we could at least know all these fibers were the same.
I still want to know about the brilliant emerald green, red, and light blue fibers that were found all over Danielle but not one in DW's environment...those are the important fibers, IMO.

I don't know...maybe they all bought orange towels at Walmart. Damon's alma mater was UF...the gator's colors are orange and blue. Surely, he has momentos from his college days...possibly their acrylic stadium blanket. I wonder what color Layla's bed was...
If my memory hasn't failed me, other colors were found also (remember the "plaid" question?), but only the orange ones seem to matter the LEO.
I don't trust any LEO. I had dealings with NYPD in shooting death of my husband. Their investigation was more than flawed, and they made sure they covered their a$$es. The last words one of them said to me was that he "had to protect his pension and make sure I didn't sue NYPD."

Man Accused Of Grabbing Girl Near Bus Stop POSTED: 2:31 p.m. PDT July 25, 2002 UPDATED: 6:03 p.m. PDT July 25, 2002 SAN DIEGO -- A man arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap an 8-year-old girl off the street last week is free after posting bail. Police arrested Ruben Fuerte, 50, on Monday in the 2800 block of University Avenue in North Park, said San Diego police Sgt. Bill Nemec. Investigators said he tried to grab the child near a bus stop in the Oak Park neighborhood at about 4 p.m. on July 16. The girl broke free and was able to run to safety, they said. Fuerte was booked into county jail on suspicion of attempted kidnapping of a child under age 14, Nemec said. Fuerte posted $100,000 bail on Wednesday and was released pending an arraignment hearing on July 31.
