The AFers already erroneously believe the Guild is populated exclusively by "blue hairs," so AARP references are not welcome at all (irrespective of that organization's socialist goals).

President Bush is on television giving a speech about Homeland security.

I guess there is a real problem with the Democrat version of the agency. He wants the ability to hire and fire and to get around the red tape of unions. He may veto the bill.

On a side note, I spoke to someone who does body language reading. He gave me an insolicited opinion of Bush. He said " Watch Bush when he speaks at a podium. He is so relaxed that he practically drapes himself over the podium. On the other hand, the Impeached One stands stiff as as board, trying to appear in power and reading his speech. Any variation from a prepared text would end up getting him in trouble, because all that comes out of his mouth is a lie."

Indeed. And now, as long as this wretched mouse holds out, is today's tres amusant, tres chic new social trend, as recounted by Cindy Adams in the NY Post:

GRACIOUS Homes' downstairs dishes section. One shopper wondered why the cup's so-called matching saucer did not have a ring that properly held the cup. "Something wrong with this?" he inquired. "Is it defective? Or is it a plate, not a cup's matching saucer even though it's shown as a cup-and-saucer set?"

The saleslady said: "Oh, no, it's the new style. This is how it's being shown. This is so if the coffee or tea is very hot you can pour the liquid directly into the saucer and drink it right from there. This is how it's being done now."

She then held the saucer smack up to her lips and showed the astonished prospective buyer who thanked her very much and moved on in shock.

According to my mother, it was just this way of drinking coffee - known as "saucering and blowing" - that so embarrassed and appalled her as a child whenever she visited her farmer relatives in the backwoods of West Virginia. It turns out my great-grandfather Polk was ahead of his time (or at least would have been quite stylish in Manhattan).

From Neal Travis, NY Post:

POOR Denise Rich. Just when she thought the scandal of Bill Clinton pardoning her fugitive husband Marc was behind her, political expediency has brought it all back on the front burner.

The unsavory saga was supposed to have stopped with the resignation of Democrat-appointed Mary Jo White as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District. But suddenly the Republicans need some kind of scandal to divert attention from their Wall Street pals in the lead-up to November's elections. [Newsflash, Neal - most of those corporate honchos who are up to their eyeballs in trouble were big Dem donors]

It didn't take much to convince gung-ho Attorney General John Ashcroft to disinter the Marc Rich case. I understand Ashcroft has ordered White's replacement, rock-ribbed Republican James B. Comey, to run with it.

Denise just wants to get on with songwriting and the music publishing business and the charities to which she's dedicated. But I'm told she's now being advised to adopt a much higher profile to fend off the GOP onslaught. In much the same manner (but in totally different circumstances), Leona Helmsley was inveigled into a round of heavy charitable giving at the height of her reign as "The Queen of Mean."

Denise already had a full dance card - I understand she's given a fortune to attend the upcoming Prince Andrew children's charity gala in London and that she has Liza Minnelli backing a cancer research fund-raiser Sept. 1 - but she really was looking for a quieter life until her shifty financier husband became useful to the Bush administration.

Lord love a monkey - where to begin?

What's an AF'er?

Can't argue with the body reading person. Bush is real. Period.
bent is just an act. An empty hollow p.o.s. charade.

Everyone have themselves a great day, and note that Teacup is the featured FReeper in Billie's A few of fr's finest thread today. ;-)

AFers are cave-dwelling social misfits whose only interest in life, apart from alcohol, is monitoring FR for evidence that Jim Robinson is a crook and the rest of us are kool-aid drinkers for continuing to visit this site.

Re my previous post about Denise Rich, I should add that WorldCom's CEO gave tens of thousands of dollars exclusively to Democrats. Here's something from the WashComPost about that fellow:

Last Friday night, as WorldCom CEO John Sidgmore was preparing to declare the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history, he was the target of a dinner partner's loud, profanity-laced diatribe at Smith & Wollensky, across the street from the wounded communications behemoth's downtown offices.

"You've ruined me. You have [bleeping] ruined me!" Sidgmore's female companion was overheard telling him, according to witnesses. "I could take this table and break it over your [bleeping] head. I could [bleeping] crush you!"

Neal Travis should try visiting the FEC campaing contribution database - he'd find it enlightening.

Want to read a superfantabulous! article? I love Charles Krauthammer and today he hit it outta the park....
a little snippet:
Conservatives think liberals are stupid.
Liberals think conservatives are evil.

.....Liberals suffer incurably from naivete, the stupidity of the good heart.

Well, I'll have to put the link on the next post....I'm on my client's computer and I can't bring up two windows at the same time. Just a sec......

Personally, I'd be quite happy to be able to do a simple jitterbug

Oh that was a good one, thanks.

They think conservatives are mean.

And in addition to being mean, we don't let people "have fun." That's right, we're all about making sure people have absolutely no fun in life, no abortions, no living together, no drug taking, no extra marital affairs.

I saw a perfect example of this on Dennis Miller last night. Martina Natrotilwhatever (tennis player) who recently was in the news for bashing America because all we care about is money. (Nevemind Martina was the first female athlete to make a million dollars in America.)So here's what was interesting, did we hear boo from Martina during the 8 years of terror from clintoon? Noooooooo. When all that money was being made? Nooooooooo. The Dennis Miller show was from 1994 and at one point in the interview Dennis asks if it's been difficult since she came out of the closet. [Paraphrasing]"Well not really, it's gotten better over the last 5 or 6 years." "But it was really bad when Bush was president and Reagan too." (note that at that point clintoon had been prez for only two of those good 5 or 6 years.) "They were all about telling people what they could or couldn't do."

So there you have it folks, that's what it's all about. People who are doing things they know are wrong (and don't give a rip) really, really hate it when you point out they're wrong.

No wonder Dr. Laura is hated with a passion by these creeps. Ha!

Missed you all today, but had lots of fun with my daughter and grandbaby! Hope your day was a good one. :-)

There are times when Liza is as incoherent as her mother during her heavy drug use years, so there may not be much of a difference between "The Lizas" and "The Osbornes" in that regard. I can't understand a word they say.
