This part of our thread, is now the food and recipie section...descriptions and pics...yummy, what fun....

Gran, that fish platter looks divine....

Habs, that sounds like a good idea, a good use for couscous...

Palo, have a fun time swimming, and twirling in the pool..

Loddy, that bacon and egg sandwich looks divine as well...and as far as egg yolk squirting all over, and running onto your face, well, I think thats just plain fun...however, your mention of facial hair, brings to mind, my dad....

Dad always, always, for as long as I could ever remember, sported a big handle bar moustache...he was quite proud of it...after he retired, he then grew a beard....sometimes after a particularly good sloppy meal, his moustache and beard would be full of scraps and bits of his meal...

Generally, he was pretty good at moustache and beard inspection after the meal, cleaning himself up after the meal...

But one time, when we were visiting and we had all gone camping, after a yummy camp meal, we decided to visit some of the touristy traps up in Mendocino California....we were all excited about going, and no one was really paying any attention to dads personal grooming....

We got to Mendocino, and as usual, everyone went their own ways, and we all met back at the car, when done with shopping...dad was always the last to return to the car, as he had to scour every nook and cranny of every shop...we all had our own car keys, so we were all waiting in the car for dad....

When he got back, he sat down, and promptly gave mom a 'smack' on the top of her head, and said, "Woman, why didnt you tell me I had remnants of my lunch still left in my beard?"

Apparently he caught sight of himself in a store mirror or window, and was horrified to discover that dried pork and beans were making a home in his beard....

In addition to her other duties, mom was supposed to be dads beard and moustache inspector...

This is not a pretty sight - me leaning over trying to bite my monitor.
That fish is gorgeous! It's like I'm seated at the table with you.

Cowboy cooking is pretty simple, but it's honest, and if only the finest ingredients are used, then it can be down-right delicious.

Back after nuking the home's foundation to repel some uninvited guests.
