Gran, when you were talking about folks getting swept away off the rocks, by high waves crashing, that reminds me also of the beach along the west coast...those kinds of things happen all too often here also....
They call them 'sneaker' waves here...you can be on the beach, and it looks either calm, or just smaller waves...and then all of a sudden, for no really rational reason, a very large, enormous waves forms, and comes crashing in unexpectedly....
That happened just a few years in Mendocino California, a very busy artistic tourist town, with tons of shops and galleries, art schools, and such...its also where they filmed all the outdoor shots on 'Murder She Wrote'...altho the town on that program, was supposed to be Cabot Cove, in Mass....in reality it was filmed in Mendocino....
So Mendocino, has always been a large gathering place for tourists and artists and its always crowded there, no matter the time of year you go there...
One time a bunch of tourists were climbing around the rocks around Mendocino, enjoying the nearness to the ocean...all of a sudden, a 'sneaker' wave came in, and dragged a lady out, pulled her under, and she drowned..this was just a few years ago...
Many places along the Oregon, California coast, actually have signs up, warning people about the dangers of sneaker waves...just goes to show you, dont turn your back on the ocean, be ever alert, and ever vigilant, because these 'sneaker' waves are real, and they are deadly....
Say, Palo, Bill might enjoy someday visiting Mendocine, as he likes to paint...BigDom also likes to try out his artistic talents, and he very much enjoys the art galleries of Mendocino, and likes going up and checking out the various art schools, and art symposiums there...its a beautiful area, and should the travel bug bite, you would love visiting there...

hi andysmom
absolutely, Bisbee Basset Bar and Grill should let us bring our pets inside
or tables outside all around so we can eat and drink with our pets
(it never rains in Arizona, and is never cold when Sun shines, so patio area would be perfect)
Loddy, get one with orange trees, it's fun to eat and drink and look up into these beautiful dark green leaves and pretty oranges set among them
the deep flawless blue sky is perfect backdrop
turquoise and silver jewelry is very affordable andysmom
it is only the heavy pieces which are expensive
the native americans say turquoise is the stone of happiness
they say amethyst is stone of love
when I walk Lulu and look at my turquoise ring, it makes me happy
it's a nice blue
I bought lapus lazuli bracelet once too, made by the same Navajo artist
but lapus never made me happy to look at in the same way
it prolly has other attributes tho
(it is the stone of the pope and religious leaders I think)
turquoise is my favorite
Love, Palo
