For millions of kids, the first day of school means a trip no farther than the kitchen table

The more mainstream media outlets report these stories positively, the less the government and educational establishment will be able to ignore them. Yes, they are getting more angry and desperate, yes, they will and have started to try stupid stunts (like here in Cali), but they will just make parents angry..and an angry parent is a powerful force.
