If you are in a support group in your area, you might think about creating your own membership cards! You can design and print them from any computer! I'm sure they all have run into the problem of 'proof' of homeschooling. This eliminates the need to carry around a magazine or proof of purchase of supplies with you wherever you go. And once you have an 'educator's discount card with one major place, maybe others will be more willing to give you one.

When I inquired at Borders, I offered to show them my educator discount card from B&N. They wouldn't budge.

I think I will make up my own cards. Great idea!!
