What did you tell them? Just that you homeschool? I know sometimes people bring copies of newletters from their local support group, pre-made cards, etc..

**I have neighbors who are always asking ME to homeschool their children......lol **

Seems to be a common theme! Same here...

In case it hasn't been posted yet, here's a site we use often at the Discovery Channel:

http://school.discovery.com/parents/

There is a great worksheet generator called "Superkids" in the math section of "BJ Pinchbeck".

10% of our city homeschools so we're a driving force. I just told them I'm a home educator and they readily gave me a packet.

She dumpster diving again? I left this thread open for my wife to see this morning. Wonder if she noticed. I have to work and she does all the schooling. I'm just there to provide a bad example.

Hi there, Carry. Glad to see you here. :o)

It's important. If ever we are going to crash the system, we are going to need the means to push our numbers to critical mass. That will take some degree of organization.

Here is my suggestion:

If we want this forum to have real effectiveness, we need to have it associated directly with HSLDA, CHN, and other similar organizations. I think it would be appropriate to email responsible parties among those organizations so that their mass emailings and articles could be regularly posted here. We should also solicit their direct participation. That would greatly assist our coordinated efforts and enlist growing support from outside the FR sphere.
