Thanks you all!
Carolina, that's the one I liked the best. Think I'll clear it with mom first.
HLL I'll have to check EBay later, thunderstorm acomin' again. I want new stuff, this grandma isn't crazy enough to give grandbaby antiques. I'll get my daughter to help me with that. She's an EBay addict too! :-)

You're right I've never been there and never, ever want to go back!! SICK FREAKS!! They're everywhere!!
I'm still trying to fuigure out how babydoll carriage relates to bondage. Wait.......don't tell me (just in case someone out there knows) I don't want to know!
To: BigWaveBetty
Interesting on your porn finds. I have added the Google search tool to my Address bar in InternetExploder, and even with the SafeSearch feature turned Off, all I found was wholesome stuff when babydoll carriage was entered - both on the Web, and also in Images.
Good luck with the carriage - there's lots out there from which to choose.

OMG - I love those elephants. Thanks. ;-)
I'll be walking my precinct with my candidates t-shirt and campaign literature - carpet bombing door to door. EVERY door gets hit. There are too many bad voter registration lists in our county - and I don't trust the dim/lib county clerk to get it right this time.
She's the one that shorts ballots in conservative precincts, makes some of the precincts vote in tents set up on parking lots, in rest homes, apartment complexes, and all manner of goofy places. As I mentioned on another thread, I'd be willing to let the lawyers live, if we could just kill all the liberals. ;-)

"FWI, I agree that we should be concerned with any loss of freedom, however well-intentioned it may be during a dangerous time such as this, because every little bit we give up now we'll never see again."While in theory, I agree with that statement, I'm hard pressed to see the TIPS program's intent as the latest Hillary spy move. Maybe I'm just naive?
We've given up more freedom via airport searches. We personally, and our possessions now get poked, probed, & sifted through. Our shoes are even suspects! We've done it with the hope that it will prevent terrorists taking over planes and flying them into buildings. While I'm not convinced we're any safer, I agree that security needed to be enhanced and my privacy needed to be invaded by the government if the trade off was better protection from becoming an armed missile.
I don't know that the outcry over losing these freedoms has been as loud as the outcry over TIPS. The irony is that TIPS is much less invasive (and would hopefully be more successful) than our increased security measures at airports.
But like I said, maybe I'm just naive - it certainly wouldn't be the first time.

One of the tabs this week said that Bruce and Demi were getting back together and she was at the WH with him today...Anyone know why his head is shaved? Movie role? Alopecia?

U.S. first lady Laura Bush welcomes actor Bruce Willis (L) to the East Room of the White House as President George W. Bush announces a new initiative to increase public awareness and encourage Americans to consider the adoption of U.S. children currently in foster care, July 23, 2002. Re: Bruce. Don't know why it's shaved, but at least it doesn't detract from his adorable smile....swooooon!
The MediaCrats are showing their typical bias today.
Citigroup and J.P. Morgan both got dragged into the Enron mess today because they knew about E's funny (not ha ha funny) accounting and even encouraged other companies to do the same.
Now, who's the chairman of Citigroup? Why, Robert Rubin, Clinton's treasury sec'y. Yes, the same Robert Rubin who called the commerce department the day before Enron tanked and personally asked the Bush Admin to intervene with the credit rating agencies. But does the media give Rubin any heartburn? Nope. In all the articles, his name isn't even mentioned. Grrrrrrr!

I did a bit of digging on the STAR foundation: these people are pretty goofy (why are we not surprised?):
The experiment of nuclear power has failed to live up to its many false promises. We refuse to continue to be the nuclear industry's guinea pigs.
Whereas radiation protection standards have been changed 7 times since they were first established and it has never been conclusively proven that any level of exposure to radiation is safe - WE CALL FOR THE ABOLISHMENT OF NUCLEAR POWER.
Whereas the routine radioactive emissions from reactors pose unacceptable health risks to the general public and especially children who are 10 to 20 times more sensitive to radiation exposure than adults because their cells are rapidly dividing - WE CALL FOR THE ABOLISHMENT OF NUCLEAR POWER.
Whereas the plants that create the fuel for nuclear reactors are the largest industrial plants in the world releasing significant amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere contributing greatly to global warming - WE CALL FOR THE OPPOSITION OF NUCLEAR POWER.
Can't we paint Hillary Rottenbottom (I just love that name, HLL) as an evironmental wacko for gladly associating with this group?
Please note that there are no reports that these flakes have given up using electricity out of compliance with their belief that nuclear power is evil. They all run their air conditioners and heat their saunas and turn on their jacuzzis and massive stereo systems - all possible through the safe usage of nuclear reactors right there on Long Island.
All they seemed to care about was if a Long Island reactor got hit - "how would we escape the radiation? It's hard enough to drive here on a normal weekend." (Like Hillary ever drives herself anywhere but nuts.)
Oh this is making me mad. The carbon dioxide issue is particularly lame - what do they think they breathe out on a moment by moment basis? What do they think plants utilize in photosynthesis to yield oxygen back into air? Nuts. Nuts, I tell you.

Hillary RottenbottomLOL! That's even better than Rush's "DerSchlickmeister" and "Janet El Reno"!

You're probably correct that the TIPS thing isn't an invasive loss of freedom, but I understand parts of the Patriot Act arguably were (access to computers, e-mail, etc.). Didn't mean to give the impression I was commenting specifically on TIPS. That's just common sense. After all, letter carriers frequently discover suspicious situations where people who are in trouble, e.g., old folks who have had strokes and can't summon help, and the mailman notices that yesterday's mail wasn't picked up and is able to call for help in time. So I won't be offended if a mail man or cable guy who happens to notice a bunch of bearded scruffy men kneeling toward Mecca and then gathering 'round a table to construct bombs proceeds to notify authorities. We all should do that.

Good stuff, thank you. JL

The STAR foundation wackos state that they don't know that "any" amount of radiation is safe -- therefore abolish nuclear power. My question is, do the women get mammograms? Or do they give that up since "we don't know that any amount of radiation" is safe?
Are they aware that the ground emits low levels of various types of radiation? Does this mean Martha Stewart is going to give up gardening and will Christie Brinkley ban fresh flowers from the house?
What will they do when we start irradiating chicken to kill salmonella? Oh, that's right, these people are probably vegetarians.
Does Ms. Rottenbottom ever socialize with the "little people" or do her concerns over frying from radiation only involve the wealthy and stupid in Southampton?
To: Endeavor
E - these people, and their ilk, make me so very tired. I cannot tell you.
I'll try and do better tomorrow - but tonight, I'm just so tired with all of it. I hope you understand. JL

Oh, I totally understand, bro. I'm just fuming mad and worked up into a frenzy. Where's Katie Couric and Matty Lauer on this one? Why is it that the usual media suspects never comment on this stuff?
Of course, the really obvious one that makes both Goldberg's and Coulter's point is that "the media" today has TOTALLY ignored Robert Rubin's hand in Citibank, which lost I believe 25% of its value over the past two days because it was a major creditor of Enron, having loaned them all kinds of money through offshore dealings and making it look like anything but a loan. If this were Bush or Cheney they'd have been horse-whipped by now, but not one damn word is said about Rubin. Not one. I am LIVID.
