Movies or shows I won't watch because of who is in them

As hollywood continues to beleive acting qualifies you as an expert on current affairs, I find myself not being able to patronize their movies. I once heard a quote that it used to be that fame brought celebrity, but now celebrity brings fame. here is my list of hollywood idiots who I cannot bring myself to watch in a movie or anymore. Lets add yours to the list:

Julia Roberts (top of my list, cannot stand the wench)

Richard Dreyfuss

Cammryn Mannhein

Rosie O Donut

Sharon Stone (not for political views, just a horrid actress)

Rob Reiner (anything he is involved in)

Tom Cruise (stero typical hollywood flake)

Nicole Kidman (see Above)

Bill Maher (enough said)

I would pass on it.

I have seen every Bruce Willis movie except one, 'Mercury Rising', which co stars Alec Baldwin. I have picked up the box on the shelf in the rental stores many times, but I just cannot check it out... and I won't.

Any time I see him on a TV show, movie or whatever, I will not watch it. Does that hurt him financially? Well it doesn't help him at least - and like someone said earlier in this thread, it is mainly just because I literally can't stand the sight of his face.

Same goes for rosie, striesand and a few of the other really outspoken ones.

One small exception... I rented the 'Royal Tennenbaums' last week and I am pretty sure that was baldwin's voice as the unseen narrator. It took something away from the movie for me, just hearing his voice. Since he was unseen, I managed to watch and enjoy the movie.

Amarok was too tame. QE2, Earth Moving, and Crises are the interesting ones for me. Voyager and Songs are the ones I play in the office (but I still like them a lot).

I've just quit going to movies altogether (except Mel Gibson flicks). Don't the naysayers understand where these stupid Hollywood types spend their money? If you support Hollywood movies you are supporting Free Mumia, Handgun Control Inc, NARAL, PFLAG, etc.... it's not worth selling my soul for a few hours of half-assed entertainment.

Many FReepers refuse to have anything to do with the "celebrities" who embrace the liberal point of view. These "stars" advocate abortion, gun control, socialized medicine (medicare, medicade), restriction of freedom, and big government programs as a solution to individual problems.

Many of us will, however, vote for and financially support, candidates who not only will do nothing to stop socialism, but will "compbomise" or "steal the issues" by supporting these same positions.

Please help me to understand how this makes sense.

Divorce is ugly but unfortunately a common event, even among members of any church, but especially in a lifestyle such as surrounds celebrities.

Being divorced does not preclude one from holding other conservative values.

Malcovich stating ‘that if he could kill one person and get away with it’, it would be Robert Fisk. I’ve read some interviews with Woods, which showed his conservative views as well as a healthy distrust of Islam.

I am going to risk whatever image for hip or smarts I might have and confess: I still enjoy Tubular Bells, both Oldfield's original and a marvelous symphonic version thereof (by David Bedford, on which Oldfield himself played guitar and bass - it was called The Orchestral Tubular Bells and was reissued a few years ago) and Ommadawn (from 1976)...
