I saw 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and highly recommend it. I also saw 'The Powerpuff Girls Movie' last weekend, my youngest sister talked me into seeing it with her. I don't recommend that one, except perhaps at the dollar show. Thanks for the heads up on YaYa, I didn't intend on seeing it anyway, you've just reinforced my decision. :)

I HATED the YaYa Book...actually threw it across the room when I finished it - but I enjoyed the movie - but...I only go to movies to be "entertained" and not to think or analyze....

A friend of ours - a college librarian, published author and wife of a published author and poet - has a regular column in our local paper. Today's is "The Books We Are Reading," and of the Ya-Ya sisterhood she says, "The book is so much better than the movie, so much richer and more complex! I loved living with the characters in this book."
