Do you remember feeling the hairs on your nape stand on end when Armstrong opened the door. And then as he bounced away from the lander, I remember the fear I felt for him, thinking he'll fall of the edge of the moon.
I had to laugh at your mention of the wind blowing hard on the Outer Banks. At our last campout on Hatteras, the wind was blowing so hard that if we hadn't tied the tent down with guy lines, we would've been set aloft, too.
Thank you for sharing and good luck finding a publisher. Hope to see you at the inaugural FRN Chapter meeting.
It's funny how the Capitol tongue-waggers just hate how boring the Bush marriage is. No intrigues, no scandals.
Thank the Lord!
But you're right about the naysayers.......just a commited boring old marriage, no scandal, no adultery, no bimbos in the Oval Office, 'is' means 'is'.............how very dull.
It is still playing in theaters ....it was released in April.
More than you can possibly imagine -- especially when I keep receiving such positive feedback from the likes of folks like you.
Yes, I do. I was 15 at the time.
Okay, here goes for YaYa...why I did not like it....I simply did not like the character Ashley Judd portrayed and what she did when she was a young mother and then how the film seemed to justify her actions....in true liberal fashion, blame it on her mother, etc....I had read how the scene was filmed and it turned my tummy....Judging by your compassionate nature as evidenced by the little boy in the parking lot incident, you would not like it either. I do not want to be a spoiler so cannot be more explicit but I will freep mail you if you want to know what the heck I am referring to...LOL...
But in its favor, Sandra Bullock, Ashley, Maggie - they were all great, the clothes were great, and there were some laughs....
You're right, I do hate that. That's why I didn't like the end of "Rat Race" either. I won't give it away, but it's really liberal and made me eye roll even.
Oh, another good one we saw recently was "Training Day". It was really unnerving. RetroKat and I watched it then went right to bed. That night both of us had dreams that we were being chased by the scary gang members that were in the movie.
I just went over to amazon.com to see if I was forgetting any and saw some of thier up-coming releases. Alot of guilty pleasure type movies.
"The Simpsons complete 2nd season" - 8/6
"We Were Soldiers"- 8/20
"Grease" wide screen edition- 9/17
"Urban Cowboy" wide screen (do we really need that one in wide screen?) -10/8
"Lord of the Rings" 11/12
"Back to the Future the Complete Trilogy" - 12/17
The sequel to Gone with the Wind wasn't nearly as good as the original, but I liked watching it. It's called 'Scarlett,' and stars Timothy Dalton as Rhett, and Joanne Whalley-Kilmer as Scarlett. Other members of the cast included Sean Bean, Stephen Collins, John Gielgud, Annabeth Gish, Julie Harris, Colm Meaney, Jean Smart, Paul Winfield and Ann-Margaret. If you have a spare approximate 6 hours to kill, it isn't unpleasant.
My DH has purchased several movies for me and I just never seem to find the time to watch them. I still have Gladiator, Braveheart, and The Patriot on the DVD shelf, unwatched. Must get busy!
While we're on the subject of movies, has anyone else been unhappy with what AMC has done with their programming and format?
